How to clean the Mac Studio from dust?

I’m looking into upgrading my MBP 15 2018 for a Studio and when i saw how ridiculously hard it was to open them up, it made me pause from buying one.
Them i ended up thinking, why doesn’t Tim “dont be poor” Cooks asked for a system with a removable tray instead of the typical user hostile garbage that we get?
The Studio could be easily be made in a tray configuration that would hold everything and the rest of the case would simply slide off as a case cover, like the Lenovos Tiny sold to corporations.
But I know, they have to keep the Apple Geniuses busy and relevant or something among the lines.
Anyway, i don’t expect such changes and i do need a new Mac…

Because the majority of Apple users simply have NO business inside a computer. The only Apple computers you will see (and have seen for a while) that can be easily serviced by the user, is the Mac Pro. They have always been serviceable.
Like it or not, we are talking about a small group that actually know what they are doing opening up a computer, and the problem is that when they do, they come back saying “something isn’t working”… expecting it to be fixed under warranty.

This is the part of apple fans that i simply dont understand.
Always choosing Apples anti consumer practices that ends up hurting ourselves as consumers.
So instead of having an easier access to clean these systems (which we all will have to do at some point) we “prefer” an almost impossible to access system that will necessitate a trip to an apple store and pay for it.
And no, AppleCare is not free.
I mean, just look at all these pages of “hacks” and extra expenses that we are doing just to delay the inevitable.
You do have one point about avoiding warranty calls, but guess what, many of these people will not open the system even if it was easily accessible like the Apple ][ was.
But seriously, its beyond crazy how much we bend over for poor and defenseless Apple.
I have my Mac Studio on a Spigen stand and do my best to keep the area around the computer clean. The other day I was cleaning the desk and thought of my two MacBook Pros I have from 2013 that have been use every day for over 10 years. I never worried about cleaning them and I can't imagine what is growing inside them, but they still work!
Same for my MBP 15 2018, but it is in a dusty area so i will have to open it up and dust it off because it 100% that fans needs to be cleaned.
It’s not just Apple who creates and sells compact closed-down computers. Look at the Dell Inspiron or the Lenovo Idea/Thinkcentre, they are equally difficult to service yourself, as is every laptop created these days…
It is not just laptops, look at large flat screen televisions.
lol - I wouldn’t even know where to start if I was trying to fix my Samsung S95B if I had to.
Looking at Smart Devices, it’s the same. It is not just Apple that makes their devices difficult to open and fix. The only devices that you can fix/upgrade yourself these days are the standard desktops, and that’s just a question of time… I am a CIO and we don’t buy desktops anymore - it’s all laptops and tablets.
Cars are slow moving it the same direction. Some models require specialized computer equipment just for a tuneup. I remember my first car if you dropped a wrench it fell to the ground, now a days you can't even see the ground from the engine compartment.

If you haven't looked backward, then I can tell you, absolutely, you should buy this. No major reduction in airflow and it keeps dust out of your Studio.

Short Version: It doesn't reduce air flow significantly (if you keep it clean) nor does it filter airborne dust particles. Dust particles common in the home range in size from 1 to 100 microns. The holes in the Spigen are 0.77 mm or 770 microns so the dust passes right through into the Studio.Anyone tried a device like this? Wonder if it reduces airflow?

The best you can hope for is that larger particles get caught, clog up on the screen, and they sit there and prevent smaller particles from passing through — so don’t clean the screen too often.

I would think laying it on a fluffy towel would actually reduce the air flow pulled in from the bottom and pushed out the back.I've got my Mac Studio sitting on a towel while I figure out what, if anything, to do to lessen dust. There's no dust entering from the bottom, but a towel does nothing for the backThe fans need the holes in the back to cool the computer, don't they?

Open cell foam is more effective as a filter and seals better to the Studio casing against air leaks. Cooling air exhausts from the back so no dust particles will enter there while the Studio fans are running.

Not necessarily. By increasing the filter material AREA presented to the airflow you can maintain airflow and still have a filter with high efficiency.
In other words you use smaller holes but more of them.
