iPod touch How to: Downgrade 1.1.3 to 1.1.1!

hi i have a mac and i dloaded the restore from the gameover site due to the fact the other links do not work. but my question is do i need winrar to do all this stuff. Cause i know when i watch videos everyone has winrar and it frusterates me, because i cant find a way to get winrar on my mac please help =/.
3rd party apps!
With 1.1.3, we cannot use installer.app, which allows the download of 3rd party apps. There are a ton of really cool new applications people have developed for iPT and iPhone. But, if you upgrade to 1.1.3, you lose all those apps. and can;t get them back, unless you downgrade. Also, it is free to upgrade to 1.1.3 through iTunes, so no one is losing money by downgrading.
Is there anyone out there kind enough to explain to me why should we downgrade it to 1.1.1 again ?! If you don't like the 1.1.3, don't upgrade it. Why waste $20 just to get back to 1.1.1 ?!

Well they're losing twenty dollars if they paid for the application updates for 1.1.3

So, I have tried for the past 4 hours to get my iPT back down to 1.1.1. And apparently I am the only one who is not able to do this. I did everything right, used iTunes 7.5, and when it finished extracting the software, it displayed an error message and the iPod is still in recovery mode. I also tried to go to "http://rs169.rapidshare.com/files/84...-Universal.tar" to download the 1.1.3 downgrade files, but the page cannot be found. I am just pissed because the 3rd party apps are so great and I want to customize my ipod again!

You could always just do it the easy way that requires no commands and I can confirm myself that it DOES work on 1.1.3 and iTunes 7.6.

nevermind got past that mistook an l for a 1 now I get a unkown error with my ipod just trial and error I guess
also do the wiggly icons come with the update or after you pay for upgrade? cause I got no wiggly icons
Try this but, do it exactly how I say. The error 1 is when you ONLY shift-click the restore button.

well been away fro a while ( 3weeks really) and saw the news about 1.1.3 and wiggly apps. Now ppl are DOWNgrading AGAIN? lolz glad I'm still on 1.1.1... if wiggly apps (and "official iphone apps") was all they gave it wasn't worth it by the look of things!
to downgrade, is the process just the same as it was previously where you get the ipod in recovery mode and then hold opt and click restore and select 1.1.1 and then do the jailbreak, and okto then update to 1.1.2? idk where to find the 3rd step to update to 1.1.3 without loosing jailbreak. what exactly do you need to do on the mac in order for this to work?
I have an 8gb Ipod touch restored to factory settings on 1.1.3 this method does not seem to work for me. in the video i found describing this technique after typing in the filecopytophone WTF.s5l8900xall.RELEASE.dfu command i get a number 11 instead of 0. everything seems to be alligned but i can not fix this problem. it will not update. any help would be great.
