I have the same issue guys, when i go to pair my iphone 5 with my macbook air (mid 2011) i get an error message :(

Everything seems to be working smoothly with iOS 8 beta 4 and Yosemite DP4.

You shouldn't need to pair them. Just make sure bluetooth is turned on and you are logged into iCloud on both devices. They should recognize eachother. Took me a bit of tinkering to get it work the first time though.

My MBP late 2011 sees my iPhone 5 and wants to pair with it. When I allow it, it will show connected for a few moments on the MBP, and then disconnects telling me (on my iPhone 5) the MBP 2011 is not supported.

Am I doing something wrong, or is my MBP not supported due to age? I just realized, that I still have iOS 7 on my phone. Maybe that is why. :) Duh.
