I did go into ethernet -> advance -> hardware and set the configuration to manual
After I changed MTU to 9000 ( it is available in the drop down )
After I clicked ok and the Mac mini seemed to disconnect and reconnect but MTU was reset to 1500

I'm on latest Ventura

Is this an issue with macOS Ventura? I'm not able to do this in Ventura on my Mac Studio. Every time I set it to 9000, it resets to 1500.

Never mind... just figured it out. Set it to custom and then type 9000. It then set it to jumbo frames (9000) as if I had selected that in the drop down menu.

Now getting 9.86G:

[SUM] 0.00-20.00 sec 23.0 GBytes 9.86 Gbits/sec 40866 sender [SUM] 0.00-20.00 sec 23.0 GBytes 9.86 Gbits/sec receiver

I can't go above 2,034 MTU with the IXGBE driver for some reason?

EDIT: With OWC (or Sonnet) Aquantia 10GbE, everything runs at 9.6 Gbits. So it's this Promise (Intel) thing that is problematic.

Jumbo frames works on both of those too, I can't even set 9000 mtu using ifconfig on macOS with the Promise -- it gives me an ioctl error...
