22H2 is filled with problems, I had to go back to 21H2 and recommend staying away from 22H2 altogether.
I have Windows 11 22H2 on my 7,1 and it has been ok, haven't booted into it in a while but did the other day and now can't update AMD Adrenalin drivers for my RX6900XT. I get the oops something went wrong message, it could be because I also have my W5500 installed not sure. Maybe I should roll back to 21H2? My windows 11 install drive was pulled from my mac pro 5,1 and worked with no issues for some time in the 7,1. I have it attached to the USB 3 internal port with the Sonnet J3i. Any thoughts? I originally used Rufus for the install. I installed bootcamp drivers but not the AMD drivers. And my peripherls work, magic track pad etc and switching OS is also via bootcamp. MAybe I need to roll back to 21H2, I will try removing the W5500 to see if thats what is causing the confusion first.

Update. I removed the W5500 and was able to install the latest AMD driver no problem, seems they conflict with each other in Windows. So I don't really need the W5500 any way, was using it for my two 1080p monitors, my 48inch oled is attached to the 9600XT and now so are the two 1080p monitors.

Thanks, i've updated the instructions!
Thanks for this write up. Just confirming that you're able to do this and boot into Windows without having to lower the settings in the Startup Security Utility since the drive is connected to a SATA port.

I see a lot of people talking about using the PCIE NVME expansion cards, but it seems like Mac sees those drives as external drives. Thanks, again.
