A scratch in 2 days? I've had my BlackBook for over a month and no scratches at all. All the greasy finger prints wipe off easily with water or iClean... Glad I did not wait for aluminum MacBook.

Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit

I just got my MacBook Pro today (aluminum unibody) and it's b-e-a-utiful! I made the mistake of putting on a See-Thru Satin Speck Case...(DO NOT USE THESE...it caused scratches just installing and removing. Also, I've heard they cause lots of scratches from trapped dust particles. All in all, just get a nice neoprene sleeve for your Macbook and enjoy the beautiful sleek silver aluminum body!) ANYWAY...I had a small surface scuff on the top, and I was freaking out...then I tried some of the Meguiar's Smooth Surface Clay Kit...I don't recommend this for EVERYONE...but it worked for me. I added a tiny spritz of the Quik Detailer Mist & Wipe to a napkin, rubbed it on, and immediately the scuff disappeared...then I used the clay, and just rubbed it a bit on top (not hard), and everything's dried, and the scuff is gone. I really don't recommend using anything abrasive like toothpaste or Mr. Clean Magic Eraser or anything...the clay is smooth and non-abrasive...I've used it on my car too (when I ran into a mailbox) and it removed the mailbox paint and small surface scratches. Good luck!

Scratches happen. Usually when you try to fix it you end up making it worse...

My advise: accept the scratch and with it learn that perfection isn't possible.

NOW BREATH ;)

Ask and you shall receive

Just go over your entire MBA with this little beauty and your baby will be uniform and you'll never have to worry about another scratch again (it'll always look all the same). ;):D

+1 on the maguires products. I used some scratch X on my cousins powerbook and it made most of the scratches go away. :)

The surface appears to be vapor blasted. If you have the correct equipment, you could just vapor blast the scratch areas. But most likely you would have to remove the parts needing blasting so as not to get anything into the laptop.
