All of the sync / restore / update / backups are handled through Finder. Attached iOS devices show up in the sidebar.

My devices aren’t showing up there???
Not sure what to do with regards to troubleshooting. I connected my iPhone and it showed up. Used Finder to update to iOS 13 from 12.4 beta.

Best I can offer is to maybe check Finder preferences and see if there is a checkbox to show devices in the sidebar that you don’t have checked. Also check the Go -> Computer from the menu bar. My devices show up there as well.

My iPad is showing up in Apple Music, but not in Finder or in Finder > Computer.....

I'm running Catalina.... I can see my devices on the Finder but I can't upgrade them to iOS 13....

You have to download the IPSW file from your developer account first. I haven’t figured out the next step though.

If you are still on Mojave, you need Xcode and then install it manually... if you are on Catalina.... you need to use the Finder (since there is no more iTunes) but I can't make it work... Im installing Xcode now and I will post any result.

I can’t find any of my devices either
I would recommend that you report it as a bug and wait for a future release. You might also find better support in the Official Developer discussion boards. Unfortunately it's too early to be able to identify every troubleshooting scenario.

You can use a production machine with Mojave to sync / update your iOS devices in the meantime.

Ok, it took me some help from someone but I finally got mine to load. I had to turn off find my iPhone first. Then, hold down the OPTION key while you hit "Restore iPhone". that will bring up a window where you point the computer to the IPSW file.

Could you elaborate?

Are you saying you put it in DFU mode?

Thanks for the reply; did you rename the IPSW file or anything??? I've tried that!!! but once i click on the IPSW file it just goes to blank....

I didn’t rename the ipsw file.

Here is where I “hit restore”. I simply held down the Option button while pressing. That immediately brought up a finder window where I directed it to my ipsw file.

I'm running iOS 12.4 beta... could that be the issue??? that would be stupid..jajajaj Because I do all that and once i select the iPSW file.... nothing... even if I just click update, (No key) It just pops and say "latest version installed" then, blank... whatever i click, it goes blank

Music app on macOS? It’s closed. Although my Mac detects my devices because it shows up there but not on Finder...

I mean I get this is a Beta but they should really indicate the "correct" order to Update!!! I've seen people who did manage to install iOS on Catalina but a lot of us are having many issues and I get it, it's just that if you just update "first" then you are screwed...
