I tried an alternate method, using DownThemAll! to download the urls xkcd.com/[1:449], but instead of saving the page, it just saves a .wav file (which doesn't play either) numbered corresponding to the webpage number. This hassle derives from the xkcd strips being posted on pages that don't have a definite .html file link
