I was going to get the Apple Case, but I think everyone's right in what they are doing, I have a Foam Netbook sleeve I'll use there are going to be so many cases to choose from in the next few months I want to wait and see whats best, instead of taking the only choice

I bought the Apple case. I hate having a case but I need for my commute. It's also nice that it acts like a stand so I can put it on my desk at work and use it as a digital picture frame.

I ordered the Apple case, but I'll probably end up returning it. It looks nice, but the hands-on reviews on it said it's not too great. I'll probably end up getting something else for everyday. But I'm also going to buy the Otterbox Defender case. I have one on my iPod touch because I work construction and it protects it very well. And I'll probably be taking my iPad out camping and hiking so I'll need some really good protection. It looks pretty nice too (at least I think the iPod touch one looks nice).

Here's the iPhone version if you want to take a look at what it looks like:

I'm curious to see what Otterbox is planning as well. I tried using the Defender case for my iPhone, but I couldn't get used to the thick plastic covering the screen; it made multitouch less responsive, and looked as if there were water under the plastic.

Now, if they didn't put that plastic over the screen, it'd be perfect because the screen didn't fit flush. Then put a Zagg screen protector on it.

I had the same problem, but I just removed the screen and used a screen protector I bought at the Apple store. I love their cases though, very high quality and the best protection. They are coming out with the Commuter series too which is a little thinner and doesn't have that screen protector built in. They actually just include a real screen protector with the case. The only problem with this solution is it doesn't keep out dust and water as good because it's not sealed perfectly.

I thought the Apple case would be great simply for the way you could stand it up, but after looking at some pictures, not only does it look a little cheap, but also, I am not sure if the case can be open and flat for when it is not being used on a table.

I really like both the http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/flexgrip-ipad and the http://sfbags.com/products/ipad-cases/smartcase-ipad.php

But I think I will just have my girlfriend sew a nice, simple case out of fleece until I find the best one for me.

I sorta like the case Apple is providing, however I think that we'll be seeing many more cases really soon.

I mean, if people make half of the amount of cases for the iPad as they did for the iPhone, we're GOOD TO GO.

But I think that I'll start off just getting the one Apple is offering, and then see what new ones are gonna be out there for sale

no need for a case the back isnt scratchy chrome like ipods so all thats needed is a sleeve for transportation

I'm hoping that Power Support comes out with some nice anti-glare or clear screen protectors for the iPad.

Me too! They really make great screen protectors. I especially love the anti-glare ones for my iPhone. I replace them every six months and buy a new pack every summer with my new iPhone along with a new Incase Slider!

I really like the appearance of this case. I'd like something fully zippered and water resistant to keep it safe while I'm toting it around on campus. I hope that some company will make an 8.5" x 11" case that easily holds papers in a file on one side with the iPad on the other, that can flip around like the Apple case to easily type on, that also has a detachable shoulder strap that attaches in portrait orientation so it looks less like a man purse. Lol. I'm not easy to please am I? Guess that's why I'm a design student. It has to look nice, be functional, rugged, and manly as well.
