While it does have its shortcomings due to it being a 1.0 product, I really like it.
The proof of the pudding to me is that I actually peruse music more than before, thanks to me finding what I wanna listen to and gets inspired to try new artists/albums based on reccomendations by the service.

It's been a month and there were technical issues for those who have own music library where the Apple Music was screwing up the playlist and song data.

Is the situation any better now? I really want to try the Apple Music but not want to take the risk of losing/screwing up my decade old music library that I put so much efforts into.

It's not worth the risk right now.

I didn't have any technical issues, I just got bored of it after a week. It's nothing special. It's just a re-structuring of services that are readily available in iTunes (Radio, Deep Archive) or elsewhere (Spotify, Beats).

So far I like it, really like the "For You" tab.
The two issues I have had (they may be related) I am having issues getting all of the songs available offline, I have a 128gb phone and would like to keep all of my music on there. Sometimes takes forever for the song's to start playing.

A lot of times a lot of problems with the streaming, playlist, sometimes doesn't download the offline song, etc..

I've switched to TIDAL HiFi and, despite it was born few months ago, is way better than Apple music!

I'm up for giving iCloud Music Library a second chance (after making multiple backups of my existing library first of course), but how do I "reset" my iCloud library first?

What I mean is that when I first tried iCML and found it corrupted my iTunes Library on my Mac, I restored my local library from Time Machine and disabled iCML, but this won't have deleted the version of the corrupt library that was orignally created in the Cloud, so if I just re-enable iCML won't iTunes just try to resync again with the corrupt cloud-based version and screw my local library up again (even if they have fixed the bug)? I want a big "RESET" button so I can delete the online library and start from fresh

EDIT: Think I found my own answer here: https://support.apple.com/en-gb/HT204964

HiFi? You mean HiRes, rather. Everything is HiFi today, even on MPEG-4 DVB-T Television.

Ahah yeah, I agree, but it's called HiFi the option to stream in 16bit/44KHz... :D

and it works very well, I was surprised by the big steps this service had done in few months! Well, if Apple will include HiFi...ehhmm HiRes audio tracks in Apple Music I will surely come back! But at the moment there isn't and also Apple has a lot of problem on the AM app (i.e. I can't create a new playlist on the iPad! The keyboard is totally screwed up in the screen, or few days ago I wasn't able to download offline music, the progress bar was complete in 2-3 seconds for 70 tracks but -oblivously- no tracks was really saved on my iPhone!....etcc...a lot of annoying bugs)

To be fair, I believe TIDAL has been around since 2014, it's just that Jay-Z and his rich friends made it more known in March, triggering one of the biggest PR disasters of our time.

I'm not letting Apple Music/iCloud anywhere near my library until iTunes update comes out AND I read here and in other places that the library scrambling has been resolved.

Noticed today for the first time since AM release that the playlists are now repeating themselves in the ForYou

Correct, I have "Madonna: Love Songs & Ballads" again today. Guess the fact I didn't play it first time around wasn't enough of a clue, or maybe I HAVE to play it for it to disappear...

That doesn't matter. I opened a playlist from day 1 or 2 and played a few tracks. Still showed up today.

Only a month in, and I've been exploring AM with an open mind. I'm a long-time Match customer, and honestly, I haven't run into any problems with AM. I did back up my library to an external drive, just in case.

I love being able to download the curated playlists for offline use. I'm often in situations with no or very poor network coverage, so having a great selection of playlists I've downloaded already is fantastic. If something comes on that grates on my ears, it's easy enough to hit Next Track.

The For You tab has been kind of neat. Picking out music should be fun, and this brings that joy back... like browsing the aisles at Tower Records back in the day.

Unlike a number of the complaints posted, I have no delusions that the offline downloads are mine to keep. They are simply a form of cached streaming, akin to rented/borrowed music. If I don't renew my subscription, those need to go away. Then again, I used this feature in Slacker for years, so understood the limitations and expectations.

Beats 1 has been a hodge-podge. I tune in now and then and will hear music I don't really care for (rap/hip-hop). Other times, I'll tune in and be surprised by something I like. The Mixtape show is pretty neat.
