The other way - From MAC to PC
I just got a used x1900xt for free from a client of mine.
His mac pro had 2 x1900xt's and apple was supposed to replace them with two nvidia fx 4500 to get the system working with xp as well. (we are hard to haggle with).
At the end they only put in one nvidia fx 4500 (worth about 1500 USD), because the power supply is not possible to two of them. one card is already sucking the same power than the rest of the system. and the psu apple can't upgrade either, so he has to live with one. Because they only replaced one graphic card, they gave us back one x1900xt.
I know people where buying the pc version of that card and flashing it to work on mac. I want to do it the other way around.
Can i flash the card with my pc as well or do i have to put it back in a mac pro to do so?
Any help on how to do so is appreciated. If someone is interested in purchasing the card before i flash it just drop me a mail. 150 USD or best offer. Offer ends October 5th, 2008 at 2400 EST.
I don't really need it. I got another ATI 2400 and Nvidia 8800 (have to send it in though for a new one - DOA - and that was 4 months ago )laying around. At least it has lifetime warranty. Do you think when i wait another year or two i might get a better one? Just kidding.
