Not bad at all, though it's personally in a sort of no man's land for my preferences--smack dab in between the rMini and iPad Air sizes. I love the size of the rMini for my small portable tablet and like the approx. 10" size of the Air for use around the house or with a keyboard (would actually go a little bigger here before smaller). Also would struggle with max of 32GB of onboard storage if there's no expandable memory.

Really like the design as I'm a fan of the style of the current Nexus devices.

I can deal with lack of expandable storage so long as the OEMs offer devices with larger amounts onboard--16GB is useless to me in a mobile device and 32GB is also less than ideal for my use, especially in a tablet.

Yea I use a hootoo tripmate or shared network drives at home to stream my 'local' media to my 16gig iPad air. I can make do with 16 gig worth of apps. Same solution could apply to nexus tablets. Not really a solution I hear you, but a workaround :). I can't stomach apples storage upgrade pricing, unless I'm buying second hand :)

I like what I am seeing.

I'm pretty content with my iPad R-Mini, but I'd give this a twirl...

Downside: "Right now, the tablet is planned to start at $399 for the 16GB version, with the step up to 32GB costing $499"

That's steepish for a Nexus.

If that is the pricing, I'm surprised and disappointed. One of the Nexus' big pluses has always been their price points (similar to Kindle Fires). Since this is similar to the new Samsung S tablets' prices and Ipad minis, it's not very attractive.
