I was thinking of getting one of these this payday.

My two concerns are with Orange.

Is there any Orange branding and how well do you cope with the 500mb data plan (if you have it)?

Thanks for the post! Can we have some camera shots at all? :D

on mine no branding at all.
I am on Orange 29 a month i know sound like 500 MB may be low but for mobile usage 500 mb is enough...

i have been using all the time on iphone 500 mb work exchange push emails internet, mobile me emails and and most of use in a month about 300 MB and 3G speed on orange is very good.. page loads faster and seems everything is quick.. then o2..

check the screen shot below.

plus o2 say its unlimited usage but so slow crap service whats the point unlimited when u cannot use plus its says fair usage policy and if u go over 500 mb on o2 ur speed start slowing down to so slow u cannot even think.. well..

i stink with orange no calls drop no issue at all.. using on htc and really work great and i just find HTc have loads of other UI new features i like to be on iphone but apple are very strict in terms of editing OS by developers. etc

i found a link on u tube u can see how it really works there are more videos on u tube check it out... HTC HERO..

HTC makes good hardware, and has a real talent for UI, too. I considered waiting for the Hero, but the 3.5" (larger than the Hero's) screen of the iPhone won me over.

So, I just switched from an HTC WM6.1 to the iPhone 3G S, and I am a very happy camper, except for the lack of FLASH on the iPhone.

With the new FLASH Player 10 Beta coming out for most major OSs (including Android) in a month or so, the iPhone will be the only one left out of a good portion of the web.

Which is the only thing, that makes me regret my 3G S purchase. But it's a big thing :(

I'm looking to get an HTC Hero to replace my 3GS if it runs on US 3G. Which isn't going to happen, so iPhone I am!

I think we are all just spoiled on how straight the iphone looks. I like the fact that the chin is there to make the voice calls better and it looks more ergonomical

I can't believe people are saying this is ugly!

This is the best looking phone out at the moment [in my opinion]

It is the Hero or the 3GS for me - and I can't decide..... I have a first gen iphone with 3.0 software on it, and to be honest I am quite bored of it now!

The upgrade to a 3GS just doesn't feel exciting!

however the Hero..... something new and different to play with.

I think if they had changed the casing on the iphone and made it less gloss plastic and chrome, I would be getting it, but the Hero just destroys this for modern good looks.

white teflon is super cool....

BTW mcmonkiez, how is the email on it??? Do you use any pop accounts???

Cheers

From all that you've said, I think you would be better of the the Hero.
