Really excited about the M9......
Not a fan of gold phones but this looks good....

If by good you mean looks like a CLONE of the iPhone 6, then yeah. Not that it's a big deal because every manufacturer borrows/steals ideas from others.

Sure....you can tell that from the back? Its a clone of what? the IP6? Backup a minute...didn't the bigger larger screen M7 come out before the IP6?
Isn't the M7, M8 and looks like the M9 all pretty much the same design? So who cloned who?
here is the M7 and M8...Both came our before the IP6

Decent camera, hopefully with OIS, is all I'm seeking plus a generic spec boost. If they sort the camera it deserves to sell like crazy.

Fired up my M7 the other day and decided to go with it over a Note 4... Forgot how easy it is to handle and how slick Sense is. Both have around 1.2gb RAM free with the same apps despite the M7 having 1GB less.

Waiting to pull the trigger come March.

Which is exactly why I was expecting a NEW design from HTC. This is their third time releasing the same design. They don't have the consumer base to release essentially the same phone again and again.

I disagree. The M7 and M8 won design of the year if I am not mistaken. I believe that most tech bloggers and mobile tech sites gave both the M7 and M8 phone of the years awards . The one and only think holding it from even more success was the camera. So why change the design? It is a proven winner. They just need small tweaks.

I guess we'll see when the M9 is revealed/released next month! I'm pretty excited about it honestly. HTC is like the Apple of the Android world. Dunno if I'll drop my Nexus 6 for the M9, but anything could happen.

HTC usually win on FASHION & STYLE in the Android world. I am still waiting on the announcement but from the leaks it does look good like usual.

Still, HTC needs to improve camera, battery life, and customer service. I probably will pass on the M9 this year though since customer service is awful and practicallly non-existent where I am based. I also dislike how the M7 battery depletes fast under 20%. Yesterday, I was downloading videos and got 3.5 hrs SOT. It went from 21% to 17% after a minute. Then it went completely DEAD moments later and I had to recharge it with the power bank to turn back on again. Nexus One was the same way but at least it had a replaceable battery and didn't degrade as fast after 20 months. HTC stopped offering them when they used to use it in their unibody metal phones. The battery indicator is just not accurate at a certain point. No warning sometimes. My M7 also lags a bit using WP8 Launcher and Lazy Swipe while the Xiaomi doesn't. And very weak Wi-Fi being SLOWER if congested.

HTC kinda went the Apple-way and lost some of the practical features. Some annoyances are rather small at first since we all get blinded by the sheer beauty but those minor issues start to get bigger over time and your left with a pretty but flawed phone with poor resell value. My next phone might be Samsung. Performance over design...

I agree that the battery was pretty bad on the m7, and what made more frustrating was how long it took to charge. The m8 on the other hand has pretty good battery life, aclose to 5 hours screen time. The lag that was on the m7 was also mostly smooth out, and they added back the microsd slot. I don't see where HTC is compromising to get that great design, unless you prefer a removable battery.

Two years ago, I kinda wanted to be the contrarian and wanted to support the outcast of the industry. I went rogue. Now I am reversing it this year and kinda want to go at which one is the best device overall, whether I admire the company or not or whether the reviewers praise it or not or whether it is popular/common or not. With Samsung or Apple, not really. I don't always like what either do but they usually pump out good-around devices and with higher resell value. Two years ago, I think reviewers put too much emphasis on design/build quality.

I think M7 was a great phone IN 2013. Now? It hasn't aged well internally while it still probably is my fav design ever on a phone. Maybe because I am still stuck on 4.1.2 and never got TRIM which causes lag. I still have typing issues with SwiftKey on the default browser. Sometimes clicking a website won't always register. Slow to connect when congested. It occasionally lags even with 1GB of FREE RAM avail. Purple tinted cam. Selfie cam takes decent shots in bright light but horrendous in low light. Battery can't be replaced and is degrading faster than I would like. For a SD600/Adreno 320, it has UI stutter using WP8 Launcher and Lazy Swipe.

I would love to support HTC again but don't always be fooled by design and design and design. It is like in horse racing. I remember all the pretty pony posters in the Thoroughbred Champions Forums. They bet on them solely on looks. Samsung may not always make the pretty phones, but having swappable battery can make it longer using them than say HTC, Sony, Apple, etc when DESIGN is great but usability is shorter. I want my next phone to last 5 years or more. I am content with specs. No removable battery, no deal.

I had great battery life on my M8 as well. It was a solid performer in that regard. Just about all of the review sites said the battery life was great for the M8. I think HTC listens to their customers more than most OEMs do. They kept the SD card they kept the headphone jack on the bottom. The kept the premium design. They optimized Sense to be the best and fastest skin out there. They blew it on the camera. If they can keep the current design......but for a few tweaks/improvements here and there they will be fine. The rumored 20MP camera better be great this time!

The next think they need to do is hire a competent AD agency to market the hell out of the new M9. They failed with the last 2 AD campaigns.

The way I feel about HTC is similar to the way I feel about Samsung. I'm excited about both and will keep a watchful eye of rumors, news, and their releases, but ultimately, I don't think I would commit to either one of those companies. I'm not sure why. I think after using the OnePlus and its near stock Android skin, I don't want to deal with other manufacturer's skins.

Honestly, of all the manufacturers, I'm most excited about what Sony will do next with the Z4.

So is there an official size listed for the battery ?

If they stick with the 1080p screen, we'd only need like a 2,900mAh battery or so, to get some killer life out of the M9. Is the Snapdragon 810 + Lollipop supposed to be more efficient, compared to the Snapdragon 801 + Kit Kat was on the M8 ?

I had the HTC One M8, great phone, was running a custom ROM, with a battery friendly kernel, and I had Greenify and settings for battery saving, etc... Overall the One M8 was pretty good on battery life, but not awesome. After the M8, I got the OnePlus One, it had much better and longer battery life, and now running a Jailbreak iPhone 6 Plus, and this beast is even better than the OnePlus on battery, and totally blows away the One M8, on battery stamina.

Any chance the One M9 could get close to 6 Plus battery life ?

Hope so. Battery life is killer on the 6+ and great battery life on top of the camera improvements needed and yep the M9 has my CC waiting :)

Your CC is waiting but you better get more treats if you want them to pose for pics. :)

Techgasmic !!! Looks beautiful I really can't wait to get my hands on it.

Yep.... This will be my next phone. I wonder if the 5.5 inch version with a home button is not happening?

That phone is simply stunning. Took the best element of the M8 design, the wrap around metal body and replaced the somewhat busy and inconsistent front with a gorgeous, sleek all glass front (yes, like the iPhone--get over it). Don't know the source of the photos (looks like a designer's renderings based on leaks) but I hope the real thing looks this good.

Samsung better be taking notes...this is how you do phone design.

I hope they get the camera right this time around.

Also, I don't think I can do Sense after using cyanogen. The ability to customize my experience has become so important to me. It really makes a difference in day to day experience.

I am with you on the camera. Fingers crossed they listen to everyone and are putting a higher quality camera in the M9. I hope we can still unlock the BL and flash custom ROMs as with the M8. Can't wait for the M9!

I think it's a very healthy mix of previous HTC One's, a bit of iPhone, and even a bit of Sony (the front speakers sort of remind me of the old Xperia Z's).

More here: http://www.phonearena.com/news/Sizz...he-best-looking-ones-weve-seen-so-far_id65885

Um you do know these are renders, not the real thing, right? Compare to the real thing previously posted and the real thing doesn't look nearly as nice.

Hmmmm....Here comes Rogifan from the iphone forums to say something negative about a yet to be released Android flagship! I am sooo surprised and shocked!
Massive?.....have you the seen the IP6+? I will bet screen ratio wise the M9 will have better screen ratio than the IP6+
