I think you lie.

2 hands to unlock the m8? WRONG.

Scratches easily? WRONG. I dont use a case and throw it around drop it on counters that are filled with dust, metal at work and I dont have any scratches. Maybe one small one.

Anyways, they are both sweet phones and I switch back from android to ios every other phone I buy. The M8 is sick! But if youre getting a 6 anyways there is no reason to buy a M8 for a few months....

Well done, if someone post his experience, then branded as liar, i didn't refer to you so why don't you get off your high horse and let help OP choose what he want, i was only sharing my experience.

regarding scratch , yes it does scratch very easily, here.

This is with nothing in pocket, no coins, keys etc, just a simple online search will show you how easily lens, back and screen is scratched and even 1 guy had HTC logo peeled off.

It's aluminum. Aluminum, especially thin aluminum is super easy to damage. Sad but true. A guy tried to sell me an M8 locally, and even though he lied and told me it only had a "few scratches on the rear" and showed wear on back and on sides. I passed on the deal because my phone-OCD couldn't take that. I wouldn't have an M8 without a case and screen protector.

Wait for the iPhone 6 IMO. Basically the same sized screen but thinner and lighter with a better camera.

I had an M8 for two months. If you don' mind the lack of OS X integration and with the Apple ecosystem, then it is truly a great device. I love its design, it is at least on par with the iPhone 5S. The speakers are amazing.
When I had it I found myself doing things with the phone that I never did on an iPhone, like watching videos for example or even movies.
Now I am back to my iPhone 5S but I am getting an M8 again as a second phone. My main phone will remain an iPhone though, because I love the iOS/OS X integration, plus all the new stuff coming with iOS 8. I might consider getting an iPhone 6 when it comes out and then get rid of both the 5S and the M8, but first I will wait.
What I miss from the M8 is the Blinkfeed and I can't find something comparable on the iPhone. Flipboard is not as good..

I've been an iPhone user since the beginning...and although I've left it for several torrid affairs with some BlackBerry devices...I've always come back to the fluid, polished, effective user friendliness that defines iPhone & iOS.

But, I must admit that I am getting bored with the iPhone & iOS as a whole. There have few changes, and iOS7 has been nothing worth talking about...

I am thinking seriously about trying out the HTC One M8 just for a while...at least until the iPhone 6 drops to Verizon wireless.

My issue is that the last time I tried Android it made me feel stupid! Not nearly as intuitive as iPhone and I felt I had to be some tech head to navigate mysel around the phone. The M8 is all aluminum though...seems put together well, and good things are being said about KitKat the OS.

Could I get some experienced help on why I should forget the iPhone and go with the HTC M8...or if I should wait on the iP6.

I have nothing against the M8 (I own the M7 and like the Sense UI), but with the new iphone6 coming and ios8, it would be a very tough decision. I'd wait to see the iPhone before making a rash decision.

You seriously can't wait 7 weeks for the iPhone 6 to be released?

I was very impressed with M8 I played with in the store but I'm waiting for the iPhone 6 announcement before I make any decisions. 90% sure I'm going with the 5.5" IP6 but if it isn't announced I may go for the Note 4.

I've decided to fight my mobile phone ADD and stay with my iP5 until the "6" drops rather than even getting the M8 at all. I don't want to learn a new OS only to jump back to iOS within a couple of months any way. My time & peace are worth more than that.
