i have a HTC One, and i would buy this in a heartbeat.

Not sure the stylus use case as is in Note 2 and 3 is that big of a selling point.

Lol. Well in fairness to Couch, at least he does actually own the phone rather than just pretending to..... :D

Not sure if this is directed at me, but I do own the HTC One. It is my first Android phone ever. Before getting it I had used iPhones for the last several years.

Check some of the HTC threads and you'll soon work it out :p:)

Any word on whether the MAX will include a stylus as with the Galaxy Note, or if HTC are going along the 'bring your own' route like Sony?

No rumour of a stylus anywhere - so perhaps its going Sony's route ? They will need to come out with new software additions to Sense 5's apps to make use of the Phablet size. Unless they add some compelling software to the mix, I'm not sure if without a stylus this really stands much of a chance against the Note 3 which has already won over a niche audience. I'm also not convinced that there is enough of a niche audience to support so many phablets from differing manufacturers to make them profitable.

So with the latest pic leaks surfacing, I've begun taking a slight interest in this thing again. For this one reason - given how good the speakers are on the One, might they be even better on a bigger version of the ~same phone?

I keep ending up in these situations where I want to listen to some music or play a song to someone, but the speakers on my Note 2 really don't do jack when used like this and I'd rather not be lugging around a mobile external speaker just in case, no matter how small.

I can see it being a good selling point for HTC if they were to really build on that particular strength of the One and making the speakers on the Max really outstanding. Wat do you guys think, is there any possibility of them actually doing that? If so, would it interest you?

If the Max had really, really good/loud speakers for a smartphone, this would be the only phone that'd make me reconsider getting a Note 3. (Oh, and the camera would need to be not as crap as that of the One, too.)
