LG Nexus price rumors say:

399$ for 8 GB
449$ for 16 GB

I would definitely go for the 16 GB.

Maybe they'll pull the same game plan as they did with the NExus 7. Release 8GB and 16GB initially, then move the entire line to provide 16GB at the former 8GB price point, and 32GB at the former 16GB price point, possibly phasing out the 8GB version.

Kind of like the heavily rumored 32GB Nexus 7 that's coming soon to replace the current 16GB Nexus 7, bumping the 16GB down to the 8GB price point.

I think I'll wait a while before I consider upgrading to the LG Nexus just to see if this pans out.

Also, I know it's prototype software and hardware, but the initial "review" just doesn't seem very promising. I really want an awesome camera.

I'm not too concerned about the camera and the other specs looks good and so does the design. I'll likely want to get it as soon as it's out so if they do go by that plan then I'd be really pissed off. I want 32GB but who knows how long until they release it (if that's their plan).

I'm kind of put off that the LG Nexus isn't thinner than the GN. I was really hoping for it to be as thin as the GS3. I love how the GS3 just disappears in my pocket. You hardly feel it's there. Plus the thinness helps with reaching the full range of the screen.

Also not so thrilled by the chrome band around the device. Kind of takes away from the aesthetics a lil bit.

Actually, the more I look at it, the uglier it gets. The flash and camera just look... bizarre. I can't put my finger on why. And the patterned back is a love/hate thing. In some pics, I love it, in others, I hate it.

I know, prototype and all, but ya.

A highlight: "Which leads me to the elephant in the room: those rumors that the next Nexus device will be based on this phone. Every gadget needs to be judged on its own merits, but I'm imagining a world where Google helps LG refine the hardware and the software is stock Android — and it seems lovely."

A review of the LG Optimus G. Swap out the software portion of the review and it is pretty much the LG Nexus review already.

Things are looking good.

I did however read some review where they broke the glass back of this thing already...

In terms of build quality I would have to go with the HTC One X but when it comes to software and promptly updates you cannot beat a Nexus device. Not to mention while the tweaks that these launchers add to android are useful; nothing beats the stock android experience to me. So my vote is for the LG Nexus!
