Picked it up today and it is absolutely stunning I have to say, I love its "wider stance" versus its P sibling the P40 Pro. The circular camera housing in the center feels right and due to it being larger it feels lighter than a P40 Pro yet it is technically heavier, I guess the weight is better spread in this size.

I love (and still use as my daily) the P30 Pro. I wish it wasn’t my last one and Huawei was still on the table here in the U.S. Still can’t find another Android phone I dig that much. Otherwise back to iOS it is for me unless OnePlus knocks my socks off but anything now without periscope zoom is kinda hard to go back to.

The P30 Pro is a gem nowadays, as it is the last Huawei flagship with GMS.

Yeah it’s such a pity about the situation as Huawei still has the best overall hardware package in Android, even their new foldable Mate X2 has leapfrogged the Z Fold 2 very nicely.

I am spending my time on iOS as my daily driver (iPhone 11 Pro Max and 2020 iPad Pro 11”) and then Android I am using the Huaweis and waiting for their ecosystem to be fully completed.

I have to say, they have come far, an average joe who wants:
- Phone calls
- Texting (WhatsApp, Telegram etc...)
- Email (incl. GMail)
- Banking
- Food delivery
- Online shopping

Etc.... can get by easily with any of these HMS phones, Huawei have done a great job at pulling in many of the big guys to make stuff either available on App Gallery, Petal Search or in the developers own websites for example WhatsApp can be downloaded straight from WhatsApps own website.

It’s when you want to use some of the US heavy stuff like Google services and apps that you may struggle a bit. Interestingly enough, Microsoft Office is fully available on Huawei AppGallery, so it seems there is some progress with some of the US software giants.
