I got this one and the one a while ago that had crysis 2 and battlefield 3 on it.
Great deals, I check it every once in a while and hope for something good.

War in the North is a underrated game. I played it co-op with two friends and it was great fun all the way thru!
It's fairly short tho, I think we used around 12 hours on it.
The only thing that annoyed me a lot was that you cannot disable in game voice over while playing co-op, and it lags way worse than Skype/ventrilo.

This may be a dumb question, but since most of these are Windows games, does Steam eventually provide a Mac version if a Mac version is available? I'm thinking specifically of the first Batman, which is on the Mac App Store but a Mac version is not available on Steam. No, I don't have bootcamp as I have a small HDD and I haven't figured out how to use a skin with Steam yet, although I have heard that it is possible. I'd rather just play the games without too much headache.

Thanks!

If a game is "Steamplay" compatible, then you can install it on either Windows or OS X without having to re-buy. Only in a few select instances (Call of Duty: Black Ops being one) is a game available for both operating systems but is not Steamplay.

Mac games are a bit unusual in the fact that most OS X releases are developed by outside firms (Feral and Aspyr being the two biggest) rather than the company who produced the games in the first place.

Thanks for the response, but I was actually trying to ask a different question. How likely is it that a Feral/Aspyr/3rd party port, such as Batman:AA will get released on Steam? I know that a Mac version is available through Apple's Mac Store, but I'd like to get in on this bundle and play B:AA on Steam for Mac. I'm just wondering if these kinds of ports ever get released on Steam down the line.

Thanks.

I cant pass this one up! I dont have either of the Batman games or the LotRs game

I don't know about them adding Batman:AA, but Batman:AC is a SteamPlay title and works just fine on Mac OS X.

It all depends on the title, and that's something you'd have to ask the developers. It could happen since Arkham City was recently made Steamplay compatible, but that doesn't necessarily mean it will happen in the near future. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was available on the MAS for more than a year before it came to Steam.

If you really want the game badly, just buy it on the App Store. This way, the Mac developer will be able to see some revenue from the purchase. Unfortunately, if you buy a Windows game, play it, then it comes out as Steamplay on OS X, you don't have to purchase it again, but the Mac porting folks don't see a dime.

Seems like you can get Arkham City for OS X as well with the bundle, I didn't know Feral released their games in Steam :) But question is: Does Feral get any compensation for the sales of these Humble Bundles? Maybe edddeduck can answer this?

I honestly don't know right now, it's the first time we had a game in the humble bundle.

just to check edd, is it correct that with normal steam games, the mac developer only gets anything, and it only gets registered as a mac game, if its first run on a mac?

ideally i try to do this, even if sometimes i then later play the pc version, but sometimes it comes out pc only first, i play it and later a mac version appears on steam.

is it just me who thinks round about now every week....'wonder whats appearing in the humble bundle...'
