I'll say this.. they should include a feature to turn it off. I personally like the change but talking with a few other developer friends.. they dislike it. So an option switch would be perfect for this type of thing.
How can you dislike this? It's so awesome and you can just ignore it, another screenshots won't capture this thumbnail anyway.

They find it obtrusive and in the way. Like I said, I actually like the change because when I screen capture 9/10 I'm editing it to send out. Now I can capture and edit quickly.

What apps do these developer friends work on? That way I can avoid them since I clearly do not share their same sensibilities.

I realize you meant this tongue in cheek (at least I really hope you did), but honestly this attitude is becoming so popular in America that it’s starting to scare me a little. It seems like people don’t want to have anything to do with anyone who doesn’t share their viewpoints... whether they are political, religious, or how they feel about the little popup that happens when a screen shot is taken.

It’s still possible to work with and collaborate with people that share other viewpoints... even ones that you feel strongly about. Our differences are what make the world such a wonderful and interesting place. Don’t write people off just because they disagree with you on something.

Sorry. I’ll stop now. Go back to your regularly scheduled conversation about screen shots.

By far my favorite feature of iOS 11 - I am constantly taking screenshots and cropping them and sending them in emails and iMessages to friends. I hated having to go to photos find the screen shot crop it, send it, and then remember to delete it so I don't have a bunch of useless screen shots in my photos.

I can tell I'm getting old...I dislike a lot of the new features in iOS 11. This one irks me to no end. I rarely ever mark up photos and it is such a nuisance to have to wait or swipe away the icon. The new bolder interfaces have wayyy too much white space. And the new App Store is just atrocious. Control Center is a mixed bag for me. I hate that I can't place any of the toggles where I want them, however, I do like the new toggles for sound and brightness. This one is definitely going to take some getting used to.
