First of all, you didn't buy the iPhone "outright" you bought it without a contract from either a Telstra store or reseller. It is still locked and they have all the right in the world to charge you to unlock up until a certain date.

Only Apple themselves sell the phone outright. This means it's unlocked and you can do with it what you will, use it on any network with any service you like. You can only buy an outright iPhone from an Apple Store or apple.com/au

You'll probably find that a contract-free iPhone from Telsuck + unlock fee is a lot more than outright from Apple.

Always a bad move going with Telstra.

i got a new job, i guess that counts haha!

Good luck with that job. What do you do?

WOW! cable sucks but. sharing speeds with neighbours? NO THANKYOU. lol. we dont have cable here :( not that i care.

Cable is shared? Doesn't Foxtel come through that line as well, surely then it must have the bandwidth for everyone and not affect any speeds?

they are on the ASX - goodluck getting that to happen ;)

hope all is well.

All good here. Early uni day tomorrow.

yup foxtel comes through that line too. but nope they wont have the speed for everybody to max it out. there will be a max bandwidth for a street/area etc, and thats the advertised max. you wont get that, and in peak hours it will crawl to a slow because everybody else is on there too. (one of the only things ive learnt in uni haha)

All good here. Early uni day tomorrow.
