There is no "perfect" phone, it does not exist.

The numbers state that the iPhone is the best, a small 4" screen and the simplicity of iOS, make it a huge seller. But for those two reasons alone, I don't like it.

Others prefer the large screens that Android phones offer, and advanced OS, but to some they are too large.

For me the most important factors are; Battery life, and Screen quality, a nice display that's good outdoors, and big enough to read new sites easily, etc... I think the new Samsung Galaxy S4 will be a nice phone. Great battery life, nice sized screen, and still a thin lightweight phone.

My perfect phone would be the black HTC One with stock android, the Note 2's battery and ios app store.

I can dream, can't I ;)

Sounds about right, but I would still take the nexus 4 design with some kind of modification to the glass back with note battery life and Apple app store.

Has the hunt for the Grail been successful? I am still waiting to hear about the perfect phone.

The perfect phone doesnt exist and never will. Even if you find what you believe to be the perfect phone, you will upgrade it in a year or two anyways because everyone wants the lastest and greatest and a two year old phone is , well.............old.

Stuff about onthecouchagain

Stuff about onthecouchagain

Stuff about onthecouchagain

Sorry to derail but I had to spill the contents of my brain.

You know, reading through these I have this awesome picture in my mind of onthecouchagain. I can picture a rough choppy sea with a single rock pokeing through it. On this rock would be a saddened man hunched over... he is wearing nothing but very tattered articles of clothing. The scene is very grey and drab with rolling rainclouds in the horizon. Over his shoulder is a white and dirty knapsack. Areas of this knapsack have been torn open and a plethora of smart phones from all makes and OS can be seen within.

Onthecouchagain looks up as to ask the gods why must they torment him so and have decreed that he must embark on the tortured endless path of the phone sojourner.

If I had the time I would most likely illustrate this, however if I had the time for that I would have finished my illustration of Steve Jobs throwing a rattlesnake at Eric Schmidt. I promised Renzatic and samcraig that first.

Back on topic, OP you are going to have a long and hard road ahead of you. Much like my story and what others have posted it will be endless. No phone will ever be perfect, you just have to balance pros and cons and pick the device that currently suits your needs at this time.

I would consult onthecouchagain, he's making a futile attempt to find the perfect phone as well. Just pick the one you like the best; they all have flaws.

Agreed. There is no perfect phone.

Only the perfect phone for the majority of the ways you plan to use it.

For some it's iPhone, for some it's Samsung's Galaxy phones, HTC's Android or Windows Phones. For some, even Blackberry makes the perfect phone.

After my search for the perfect phone. i found it it was in my hand because no matter what we do there will always be a new toy unless something is revolutionary and does something that would change our ways to do something the phone that u buy at that moment is the perfect phone. i have had the the BB's including the z10 a few android devices and at the end of the day i always end up with iphone just because its simple stupid. when i feel the need to tinker i play with an android but after all the bells and whistles that android adds its still just another os thats juiced up. apple always did things for the benefit of the people even it meant sacrificing some newer tec.
