So, I didn't realise that the new iCloud reminder on iOS 13.0 requires Catalina to work on Mac. I thought there were a few pending patches available for Mojave on my Macs, so installing them will make the reminder app compatible. However, I am now stuck with this.! Don't think there is a way revert to the older version of reminder, is there?

I don't think there is, sadly. Catalina should be releasing sometime in October though so you only have a few weeks left of suffering.

In the same boat here. Was a little shocked to see my many ... many work reminders replaced with a yellow triangle. :(

I'm so sorry - this is my greatest fear, I live and die by Reminders for work. I avoided the 'upgrade' button in iOS13, but even now using Fantastical 2 is having issues.

You're only option right now is to go to iCloud.com to see it at least on your Mac - but I don't think it does notifications....

My Mac is my main workhorse. I’m reluctant to put beta on there. Also that’ll mean upgrade of Xcode which we’re not supporting yet.

Alright, so no Beta then. You’ll just need to wait. Or can you access your reminders from iCloud.com?

Haven’t checked that but my reminders are all synced via iCloud, so that should work. Will check it. Hopefully they’re all there.

Nope, there's no roll back as far as i'm aware.

As i posted in another thread, i can't believe apple didn't wait to release Catalina before enabling this reminder upgrade stuff. Or was more clear with an "are you sure??" to warn people against upgrading.

The warning is there, definitely, and i didn't upgrade, but my GF did and lost access to our shared reminders until i upgrade as well. Because i'm the owner of the reminder list....

Same problem here. And worse, as I had planned not upgrading to Catalina (I use a few 32bit apps).
The thing is Reminders in iOS13 is not the same app as Reminders in Mojave.
But I suspect a lot of users are staying with Mojave for a while...!
If Apple wants to avoid compatibility problems and confused users, new updates for Mojave will be released. (Of course, Catalina adoption percentage will be considered).

[Going forward "plan B": dual start-up (Catalina/Mojave)]

So no beta. How about a public gold master just released today?

Would love to hear how you use Reminders for work. Do you use them instead of a traditional “to do” list (or as your to do list??

Uh. you put tasks in there you want to complete, and put an alarm on them to remind you?

Its 2019, most people don't use paper any more. Paper gets lost. Lists synced to every device... less so.

Duh - I get that. I was just curious about what you are tracking. I’m productivity geek and like to hear others’ approaches. E.g., is it to keep track of tasks for yourself and just used as a task/to-do list? Or do you use it to remind you to do things at different times? Or tracking colleagues commitments? Or using geo-location or anything fancy?

The fact that you said you “live and die by Reminders“ maybe think I’m missing something especially creative...

You don’t have to share - no biggie.

I didn't say i live and die by reminders. Pretty sure you have me confused with another poster.

But what do it put in there? Stuff i need to be reminded about. Checking my mail when i get home. Paying upcoming bills. Doing something job-related that i thought about on the weekend - as i get to work.

What to put in there depends on what YOU care about. My list (not that i have one, i just put whatever in there i know i will forget otherwise) won't work for you, most likely.

Its as simple as (in a homepod/watch/carplay) environment "Hey Siri remind me to do X when i get to Y") or whatever. Whenever i think of the thing, without needing to fish out pen and paper.

Reminders are IMHO one of the best applications for siri. Because they can be done hands-free, at the moment you have the thought to do something, but can't do it right then and there.

I maintain different lists for personal and work related things. I also use them for scheduling tasks that I need to accomplish on a certain date etc. One of my most used apps.

I use it for follows ups and scheduled tasks, and combine it with my calendar by using Fantastical 2. Of course if anything requires more of a breakout of detail I would keep more info in something like OneNote etc.

So if someone needs something from me, or I know I need to do something, I'll just use 'hey Siri' on my watch. Or I'll setup repeating reminders for things like taxes, chores, etc. I'm a little Type A! But I don't like dropping the ball with clients....

Me too - Reminders (via Fantastical) and Calculator are my most used phone apps!
