I wish Apple card would give 2% back on everything non-Apple. My Double Cash mastercard gets a lot of use because they give 2% back on everything. I would just use Apple card if they could do that also in addition to 3% on Apple products.

I am also tempted to cancel my Apple Card as I have very little use for it. We are frequent Costco shoppers and the AC, since it is Master Card is useless in there.
I use my Citi Visa card on all Apple purchases to get another year of warranty, instead of the lousy 3%, plus I seldom shop at Apple since you never get any discounts in the first place, so I end up buying Apple items at Costco, ABT Electronics, MicroCenter or B&H.
To top it off, recently needed a document/proof to confirm my address (for DL/ID renewal) and found out that stupid Apple Card statements don't even include a home address - WTF Apple.

I cancelled my card recently, but because of security issues. This supposedly "safe" card, was somehow used by someone to make several purchases on Amazon. I don't even have an Amazon account and certainly have never used my card there.

What made it worse what then having to navigate through the cumbersome texting (very slow response) through the Wallet and then eventually dealing with Goldman Sachs on the phone. Thought it was all straightened out and then a month later getting a notice that Goldman Sachs had determined that one of the charges was valid. Twice now I have tried to get the supporting documentation for that claim and am still waiting.

ps. The card is pretty much indestructible....you can either get a recycle box from Apple or just throw it in a box in your closet like I did.

I agree with some of the sentiments here about doing your homework before applying for a card, it would help mitigate a lot of complaints and expectations.

Having said that I got the gist of this card and applied earlier today and was approved. if I read some of the comments on this card I may have hesitated a little. But my reason for getting the card was to continue building my credit and since I’m ordering The 12 pro max on Friday I thought this would be a good fit for me since I have a tendency to do yearly upgrades. I won’t be using this for general Purposes for the foreseeable future, just yearly iPhone purchases. I have a credit card from my credit union if I feel the need for other types of things. I think you guys leapt and should have looked first

I agree, just cancelled mine. From the application process, which I got denied with a credit score of 820 multiple times, and dealing with support on that. Through trying to get it to integrate with other financial services like mint.com. Even the final payment was annoying, I purchased one thing and there were two transactions on the card, turns out one was the sales tax. Who does that?

Somehow, even though I used my personal email to apply, since it was a work phone they associated it with that email, which I wouldn't have given them. Their website is horrid, and support told me to use the app to change my email. So, I deleted my work email from the app, along with an old work email of which I have no idea how they got, and left only my personal email. Still got emails for payments and stuff on my work email, which is prohibited. Finally, they told me they couldn't change the email at all, and that I'd have to reapply under my old email. That was the last straw. Paid off the balance and cancelled the card. Who cares about 1 year same-as-cash if you just get annoyed every time you do something with it.

Unless you're happy about absolutely everything about the card only happening on your phone, from application through payments, don't get this card!!

Recent updates:
1. Received a 35% credit line increase.:D
2. I just used the Apple Card to finance my new M1 Mac Mini.

Love the 0% interest rate and easy to pay monthly.

I may even pay it off early just to get ready to get that upcoming new designed M1 iMac!

Curious, did you determine why you were turned down? Since you got the card was it a mistake, or conflicting information?

You guys will never understand how good you have it. Where I live, cash back doesn't exist and interest rates for credit cards are well above 60%.
Why wouldn’t you tell us where you live in the body of your text instead of us asking you like I am right now

They don’t give you an increase even if you ask. The gods must bestow it upon you. So how many regular payments have you made for them to make that decision. What do you think the reason was. If it was me I would take the time to call and ask them because I’d be curious

Goldman Sachs has been increasing credit limits for those cardholders that have had the account open about a year.

Here's a thread on some people who have received increases without asking, while others got increases for asking.
https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/apple-card-limit-increase.2271712/

I changed from carrying a balance to paying off in full each month - I use it primarily for grocery shopping (2%) and the Apple SW/HW for 3%.

I figured paying off in full each month is better to enjoy the 2% or 3% back because the 15% interest rate is killer!

It's criminal. If you need to pay in installments, it's really up to each business or store to offer them to you. But even still, if you want to pay for something in 6 monthly payments you're looking at the very lest an 15-18% interest.

Paying the minimum for your credit card balance can get very, very dangerous here.
