so, i have a friends macbook next to mine an when i look at the screen, my pixels look... i dont even know how to describe it... bigger. like i can see each one more clearly, the computer works perfectly otherwise but should I be worried. mine looks i guess you could say, not as clear. can anyone see what I mean? I may be going crazy, but i swear it looks different from teh other one sitting right next to me. IE not as good
any suggestions?

I say send it back and tell them to get it right. And in the process completely waste your time.

I don't know what you're talking about man, everything looks great to me.

I honestly have no idea what you are trying to say.

You say the pixels look "bigger" - Do you mean the on screen image, your desktop, looks more stretched out than your friends making it look "big"? Are you sure you are running the native resolution?

Or are you trying to infer that your screen is deformed and the actual pixels that make up the physical screen are bigger?

Still here.
The screenshots are not going to tell us anything, but perhaps actually taking digital images of both screens with a camera and posting the shots will help.

This is, of course, assuming it's not just a resolution setting difference, which would make a lot of sense.

Are you certain they are both set for the same screen parameters (pixelsxpixels)?

ok

So, i know I am being picky, but ther is deffinitly a difference. it almopst looks like mine has a texture to the screen.you can really see it on white and grey. as i there are cris crosses giving it a very slight texture. or as if every other pixel is darker.

Do you have any pictures of the screen to illustrate the defect? Would make it easier for people to comment on.

Regardless, if you are unhappy or disappointed, phone or visit Apple and see if you can get it sorted. You have nothing to lose by trying.

Off chance that you hit command + or he hit command - and it's just off a tad because of this? Also do you both have Gloss screens or matte screens?

Duh, there is no options for matte with macbooks dude :p

I took it to the apple store, and they did some sort of test, and said it was somehting to do with the power supply for the screen. they saw it. im telling you it was really difficult to describe or show without seeing it with your own eyes. but now im happy as a clam. they replaced it

The only difference i see between the two are that your font size in Safari is much bigger than his. He might have had reduced his font size, which may give the appearance that his pixel are smaller since his font is smaller.

Ok posting screen shots is futile - the pixels we use on our monitor to view them are a set size, so they'll always look identical even if your two are completely different.

That said, they're not. If they were the screen wouldn't fit in the case properly.
