I've cratered, and decided to return my Note 9, and Galaxy Watch to Best Buy Friday morning when I go pick up my new iPhone Xs Max Gold 512gb phone. I will probably pick up a watch then or order it. Haven't decided on the color watch since I am unsure if the Gold Color would look right on a guy...I am use to Silver/Black watches.

The Note 9 started having issues recently, that I decided, while I can, to get out. Best Buy gave me 30 days so, I may just have to pay the return fee for $30, but that's it.

1. Camera constantly locking up. (Big issue among the Samsung/Reddit boards).
2. Battery drain suddenly.
3. My Insurance Drive Safe app will not work any longer on the phone and my insurance company is useless trying to figure it out. Either my rate goes up by $60 a month or I switch phones.
4. Everyone in my family has iPhones, so it only makes sense to stay with the eco system.

Figured, since I had to pre-order it, I used my AT&T next plan upgrade to get it, then once I get my money back from returning it, I'll pay it off or use it to get the watch and just pay the $50 a month on.

I was tempted to get the Note 9 just to test it out but I had the S8+ last year during launch weekend and I didn’t even last 2 days before putting my sim back in my iPhone LOL.

LOL. I just bought the SE and will sell my Galaxy S9. Then I will eventually get the XS in a month or two.
I love the SE's size and weight and will use it for storing my music and running, etc.

I jumped on t mobile to a s 9 + to scratch my Android itch. Can't wait to be back to blue text bubbles on Friday. Itch scratched and I'm back. Also got the watch pre ordered at Best buy but they only offered shipping instead of in store pickup.

Are you sure you have 30 days? Their return policy specifically says 14 days for phones, even for Elite members. You may want to double check.

Everyone I know has problems with those insurance monitors. They send device, setup is easy, and after three months they claim no data received. They then tell you they will send another device and you have to start over again. Repeat until customer gives up and loses out on the expected reduced rates. I do not know a single person that has actually successfully completed their little game. Problem is therefore possibly not caused by you or your phone.

Anyways, yeah, ditch that android. Did anyone else hear about how Google can actually remotely control your device? A few days ago everyone using Android P discovered their settings had been remotely changed by Google. A bit too invasive for my liking.

Unless you disable iMessage for mobile data. Not everyone has healthy data in their plans and iMessage features and apps can get very data intensive. Unlimited MMS I’m unsure if it covers the apps used in iMessage (for my provider it does), yet I like efficient and concise messages when on mobile network only.

The one thing I keep hearing about from Android smartphone users is “my xxxx is running slow lately” or “my xxxx is having battery drain lately not sure what’s causing it”.

Just today someone I know mentioned the latter; paraphrased.

Google and Apple can remotely force updates or changes on Android and iOS devices to protect users in drastic situations. For instance, since the App Store launched a decade ago, Apple has had a way to disable harmful apps that somehow made it onto people's iPhones.

I bought the Note 9 on a whim thinking it might be the first phone to drag me back to Android, I was wrong. I have to admit I loved it, the screen is beautiful, battery life seemed good, but here in the UK we get the Exynos version so not sure if that might make any difference. I loved the S Pen too but the camera was a let down. Despite better clarity zoomed it, the photos were consistently blown out and over exposed. I played around alot with the settings and even used Pro mode but was overall disappointed with the end results. 4K 60fps videos also had some "wavyness" to the edges when moving, something I've seen on almost every phone I've played with, aside from the iPhone.

You’re good because the last three android phones I owned (S7 edge, note 8, S9 plus) my sim never even got in there once. I kept it in my iPhone. They were all nice phones though.

I don’t know what’s going on with the cameras on this generation because I had the same with the S9 plus. The note 8 and S7 edge had good cameras though.

Apple has always been able to blacklist apps and has never hidden that ability. It is one thing to blacklist apps and another to secretly remotely operate a phone. The authors know this but included it as a false equivalence (to appear unbiased). Making it worse is that Android/google already have a business model that monetizes your data. Remember, you aren’t google’s customer, advertisers are. This is all a bit too invasive for me and a prime reason Android devices remain unappealing.

From what I see for the BB Cell phone return policy is that you have 14 days with a $45 restocking fee for ATT (you might have to pay a restocking fee for the watch too). Hope you didn't buy them more than 14 days ago.

Yes, I called this morning to verify, and they said usually they only accept 14 days, but because their website is messed up, and I went off that, they are making an acceptation to return my phone.

Anything with a cellular signal requires a restocking fee. So the watch is not included in that. But, for the phone, see above.
