As mentioned above somewhere, they key to fixing this is either restoring the phone and setting it up as a new phone (as opposed to restoring from your backup). Or you can rejailbreak and use some app which hides icons to restore your icon.

If I wasn't too lazy to search, I'd pull up a thread I posted a LONG time ago to try to help people in this situation. Lots of good that did apparently.

yeah i just done that as didnt want to lose all my contacts but now i have problems with my wifi not working so might have to take the jump lol thanks everyone
