If i can make a suggestion : lose the LED cinema display (you have a 14 day return policy?) and change it for an imac 24 inch. You pay a little bit extra, but you'll get so much more.

The imac and MBA are really compatible buddies ... (it's the setup i have and can highly recommend it. )

Then don't carry it when you don't need it...

I lack the ability to see into the future, so i like to keep a cd drive with me everywhere i go. Fortunately, the folks over at toshiba were kind enough to put it inside the case with the rest of the computers parts. How wonderful!

I can see into the future. The folks at Toshiba were kind enough to install Vista on your laptop, so your future involves constantly scanning for spyware and several blue screens of death.

If you could see into the future you would see me booting osx on that laptop.

This dude's gotta be a drug runner - you can see the blinds bent down from where he's been peeking out the window to see if The Fuzz were about...
:D

Only joking mate - f*ck me that's a nice set-up, I was wondering whether the cable for the DVD drive was long enough to reach the hub on the back of the display.

And it actually works - I'm yet to find a hub with enough power for it.

Looks like my next big upgrade will be a MacBook Air in 2011 when the AppleCare runs out on the blackbook.

You'll need to finish up your setup with a Mac Pro mothership. The Air will only let you travel so far...

But gawd, that's so sweeeeet. :D

I'm more of an ultimate kind of guy, but a disc's a disc to me!

I've played Disc Golf since 91. :) It's fun and I have been able to travel and win enough sometimes to make the trip free or sometimes come home with more money in my pocket than when I left.

Yes I have one and my wife has one.

You wouldn't think so, but we might get a mac Mini if a new one comes in Jan.

No drugs, Stupid cat that will not stay out of the window.

The cable reaches with a little slack to the hub on the back of the display. Yes works great, loaded my Cannon printer drivers off the CD through it just that day the way it is setup.

How does it run while connected to the LCD? Does it get hot?

Wicked set up!

Hottest I have seen is 72C while playing Myspace Poker for more than 2 hrs....

Watching Apples 1080p trailers is flawless. They look really good on the LED Display.

Up, up in my studio, studio
I echo JML42691's sentiments. That's a truly epic setup-- cutting edge all the way!

So... do the folks at your local Apple store know you on a first-name basis now, or what? :D

Oh, and a belated welcome to the :apple: universe!

Yea, I am on a first name basis with a couple of employees now. LOL I walk in and they ask what do you need this time. I don't have to ask for my Educational discount anymore. LOL
