Hello. I'm running iOS 13.1 right now, as the speed is great, but there's something I don't like about this version, One of them is the new look of Apple Music. I wonder if I go back to 12.4.1 and are there any people who are thinking of staying with iOS12 and why?

I think it's great so far. Mostly smooth, I like the changes to the Apple Music interface and really like other small touches like the improved volume display.

I’m on 13.1 as well, and never ran a beta version.

Its ok, runs smooth enough not to complain. However some of the changes I’m shaking my head.

I also wasn’t a user begging for a dark mode so I can see why others are happy. So far I do prefer iOS 12 over 13 but will continue to run the latest version.

I'm kind of lukewarm on dark mode myself, but glad it's there for those who wanted it.

and you cant really go back, they will eventually stop signing the older version . not to mention every update has security fixes and you leave the device vulnerable if you dont update.

I have the TVOS profile installed on all my iOS devices. Staying at iOS 12.4.1 as long as possible. There are lots of things that i don’t like about iOS 13. The dark mode is a mess, there are some speed issue and battery is draining very fast. I rather stay with iOS 12.4.1

The dark mode itself is a mess. It doesn’t have any consistency across apps, share sheets are different with different apps. Plus, after few days with dark mode, I already grown tired with the dark mode. I updated all my 7 iPhones, 4 iPads across my home, and downgraded to all of them to iOS 12.4.1 three days after

The thing I like most about iOS13 is the new gallery design, the dark mode is great and saves on my battery, i love and signing with Apple (it’s the most great thing in iOS13 according to me). I don’t like the new share options.... I want to stay with 12.4.1 but it annoys me washed out the colors, in iOS13 it fixed this problem (if anyone noticed), the other thing that stops me is that I won't get security updates and I keep a lot of it. I'm confused very honestly ...

share sheets are terrible, I definitely don't like them...

Apple Music looks different? It’s the same design since iOS 10, only that it now comes in dark mode as well.. Or are you guys talking about the ”rental” version, cause I don’t subscribe to it, I only have purchased songs stored within the phone, not in the cloud/server. I wish they’d update the design though. i miss having my list of all albums, and not “recent” and then having to click on: album, songs, playlist, artists... and so on

Well anyone who uses an iPhone 5s, 6, or 6 plus is stuck on 12.4.1 so you'll be with them. But I'd recommend adjusting to the changes because newer versions will always have more security patches.

You downgraded because of dark mode? Your choice of course but what were the other reasons? (I really liked ios 12 as an aside) I ask because you don't have to use dark mode at all. I personally find dark mode on Mojave better but that's me.

I am too. This is the first time I really looked forward to an iOS release, which was because of dark mode, and I love how some apps are done (Messages, Phone) but others aren't great (Maps) and I think the overall general bugginess of the OS, coupled with inconsistencies in dark mode, makes it feel really half baked. That said, I'm still running dark mode full time, at least for now.

Battery drain. I understand first one or two days, but after 3 days, the battery drains like there is no tomorrow. Fresh installation of iOS 12.4.1 does not have battery drain problem.

3D Touch is also a mess. I still cannot figure out how to rearrange icons. Every time i press icon, it will bring 3D Touch menu and I cannot get the icon to wiggle.

I also have springboard crash few time.

Yes 3D touch is gone, but a long press on an icon or folder should bring up a menu with "rearrange icons" as a chocie which if you choose will cause the icons to wiggle.

iOS 12.4.2 was just released today. Maybe you can downgrade to that. I’m assuming that one will continue to be signed for at least a week or so.

One the options you get with long press (3d touch) is to rearrange icons. Choose this option and the icons will start to wiggle, or just continue pressing and they will wiggle.

I do agree with some of the comments. Dark mode doesn’t bother me because it isn’t consistent. There are little bugs that need sorting out, and coming to the Pro with no 3D Touch is taking time to get used to.

I enjoy changes, but sometimes Apple makes you feel like you have to put up or shut up.

Haven’t even been able to use the new music app, it crashes constantly on my 10.5 pro.

do they even test this stuff anymore?
