At least since I tried FaceID on iOS 13 I don’t...

I mean, I can’t believe how good work they have done here! I am getting an impression that it takes less than a second now for my XS Max to unlock. Didn’t measure it, but that’s what it feels like!

IMHO, they have brought this technology to near perfection. Maybe Apple decides to never bring back TouchID to iPhones ever again. If FaceID continues being this good, or becomes even better, I am completely fine with that.

Do others also feel the same? Or are there some of you who still miss TouchID. If so, why?

I always thought Face ID would be a pain. But I’ve had my iPhone pro max since Friday and man it’s amazing. I had some issues with Touch ID like when my hands were wet and this obviously fixes that 100 percent. I won’t ever go back to Touch ID.

When I had my iPhone 8 Plus and upgraded to iOS 13.1 beta, I saw a dramatic improvement in TouchID. Having said that, I prefer the FaceID I have now. Both ID methods are highly performant.

When I originally got my X I got used to it pretty fast. I had to go back for about 2 weeks and use my old iPhone 7 Plus (gave the X to my wife) prior to getting the Pro Max.

lol I used to stare at the screen on the 7+ forgetting it used the fingerprint. But I love Face ID. I can tell it’s improved.

Before ios13 I didn’t like Face ID as it was much slower than touchid. but with the new 30% quicker speed I think I actually prefer it now.

FaceID is like wireless headphones for me, I couldn't believe how much a wire drove me insane until my first set broke. The only scenario in which I'd want to use TouchID again is if it's instant on any part of the display.

FaceID still lacks usability, there’s still many angles in which it won’t recognize the Face, not to talk about how slower it still is compared to TouchID.

try eating a delicious Baconator with fries at Wendy’s(TM) and unlocking your phone with Touch ID.

The best part of Face ID is for keychain and security verification for apps. When you go to buy an app, or open a banking app or request for keychain to pull your username and password for that website, it all fluidly happens instead of having to use Touch ID. The phone is already scanning you and you are looking at the phone so it's seamless. I love it.

Don't even get me started on cooking and running or anything where your fingers are anything but perfectly dry and flawless.

There's threads on here all the time with people saying Touch ID was better. I can't relate at all after using Face ID. After getting a phone and iPad with Face ID I would never want to go back.

Love Face ID on my phone, absolutely hate it on my iPad Pro. On the iPad I was always getting the camera is blocked alert. It happens on my phone once in awhile but 90% of the time it is good. Which is about as good as Touch ID when you consider having gloves on or wet fingers or whatever.

On an iPad it is the worst, absolutely infuriating, drives one to the verge of suicide, implementation ever known to human kind.

To buy an App you have to double tap the power button first.

The only thing I don’t like about Face ID is the Apple Pay process and double tapping the side button, especially when at a merchant like a fast food restaurant or what not and trying to do it in a hurry. Where Touch ID just seemed more fluid with Apple Pay, otherwise Face ID is great and I’ve noticed an improvement in speed since updating to iOS 13.

Same here. FaceID on my XS is superb now under iOS 13, it’s so much faster that I often miss the unlock animation. Now, if only Apple would bring faceID to macs...

I really liked being able to unlock my phone as I’m pulling it out of my pocket with Touch ID. But the improvements to Face ID are great.

I missed TouchID for a long, long time. I've gotten over it. FaceID has improved significantly and the literal only pain point I have is unlocking my phone when I wake up and still in bed/face in pillow.
