Catering to different age groups etc. For young kids just starting out, it's a good device to get your hands dirty with. I think that is the point of the current ads targeting new customers the younger, the better.

As a creative device, the iPP can be a lot of fun. Otherwise, it makes me glad I still use a Mac for most of my work.

Just curious - what country would that be? Not wanting to argue, just interested to know because I thought Apple's 14 day return policy was pretty much worldwide...
Yeah, if you buy it directly from Apple, but not if you buy in a non-Apple store (in my country) that sell all sort of brands from Apple to Microsoft, dell, Samsung and so on. Sure, I’ll send you a privat message :)

I’ve heard this to be the case in some African and Asian countries. I wasn’t aware this was in counties within Europe as well.

Ps. Your country is not within EU I take it then.

Actually, it is a part of EU. They just make their own rules because they’re not obligated to follow Apple’s policy as they’re not an Apple store but just sell apple products. That’s the danger of non-Apple stores, they can creative their own policy.

Update - I looked on Apple’s website in my country and it tells me:

Returns are subject to Apple's Sales and Return Policy. If you regret, you can return your standard hardware to us within 14 calendar days of delivery. Return of software can occur within the same deadline as long as the software has not been opened. This option is in addition to your rights under consumer law for return of defective products.

If your country is within the EU then it has to follow EU consumer protection laws and the 14 days stuff falls under that as far as I’m aware of.

Wonderful. So we now know that Apple does in fact do 14 days no questions asked - and for the rest we are down from Europe to one particular store in a retail setting.

Everyone’s use case is different. Just because the iPad Pro does not work as a PC replacement for you does not mean that it doesn’t for many other people. I run my music production company from an iPad Pro and I do so very effectively. :)

I also run an interior design business on a iPad Pro. Even my 3D modeling is done on it.
I needed both an updated MacBook Pro and an iPad so the 12.9 replaced both.
