FixedTitle: Fake discount
First line of OP: I don’t understand…
Why did you go with this particular title?
I know and that is what I meant. But if you then use that 150 gift card to purchase iPad also from their Back to School promo, should/do you really get also 100 gift card with iPad? It does not seem to work so.Educational discount is already discounted on their website. The $150 is from their back to school promotion.
For eligible Mac purchases, only one (1) Promotion Product per Qualified Purchaser may be obtained during this promotion. For eligible iPad purchases, only one (1) Promotion Product per Qualified Purchaser may be obtained during this promotion. Can you purchase both Mac and iPad and get both 150 and 100 gift cards total 250 worth of gift cards?
In terms paper it is vaguely said and they mention you can get one gift card per qualified buyer with iPad or Mac.
But despite of that it looks like it allow you to put both items in basket at the same time it shows both gift cards there but does it really work?
It does not work if first get Mac and use later on that gift card to buy iPad.
Actually reading it again I think they mean you can get only one Promo item total. For eligible Mac purchases, only one (1) Promotion Product per Qualified Purchaser may be obtained during this promotion. One iPad, one Mac. You can do those at the same time and get 250
If it would be possible to get total 250 (150 + 100) when ordering both Mac and iPad on the same order, I fail to see why it would not allow to buying them in two different orders - but that obviously does not work. It is just odd it shows both gift cards in basket when ordering at them same time - not sure it really works but at least it shows it is and asks for payment method.I wouldn't count on being able to use the gift card to buy another item w/ a gift card but I don't see anything about it, not testable for me
that's not the question I answered.Actually reading it again I think they mean you can get only one Promo item total.
Wording they use is really ”lawyer language” that leaves you puzzled what it really means. However checking this promo in Apple global sites like India where they offer Airpods instead of gift card it looks like it is only one pair you can get. Actually the same terms text with just different promo item but it seems clearer to understand for some reason.

That location was just example as there is offered airpods instead of gift card but terms text is the same with only different word used for promo item. And it only allow one pair total. It seems working the same way pretty much everywhere. So not sure what actuallu happens when order both Mac and iPad on the same order. Maybe you get only 150 gift card?that's not the question I answered.
first it seems you can buy one of each as that description says. it doesn't stop you from checking out, and shows both separate gift cards - however if you add two macs at once, it does say it's not allowed. I am speaking about the US site. wouldn't know how to check the different India promotion as you need to be verified
I fail to see why that would not work if they really allow ordering two items on the same order and then get 2 gift cards total 250 worth.simply buying them in two different orders is not the same as trying to use the first gift card to buy something that comes with another, which is what you originally said. not possible to test that without having said gift card, it doesn't seem to say anything about it but who knows

I think I did not explain well enough what I meant. Anyway, problem was that I already got Mac with 150 gift card and then used it to get iPad version that also offer 100 gift card. I could not understand why you could order both at the same time and get 150 + 100 (total 250) gift cards but if first buy one and then another using gift card from the first one as partial payment and not get second gift card. It would still add up to total 250 worth of gift cards, it should not make any difference. They specifically mention gift card is valid for purchase pretty much anything from their store. Anyway, it seemed to fix by itself, so not sure what caused that.I said that it does seem to be possible to get $250, which you apparently disagree with, but are insisting it must be possible to do one and then the other? what is the point of this conversation...
