Was watching Letterman show off the Ipad and LOOK!!!

Picture7-1.png

Watch the video starting at about 49 seconds and there is a great close up, it looks like light bounces off a camera lens from behind the bezel.

Its dead center and is about the same size as the macbook camera.

here is video, make sure to watch in HD.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O4v76sEkX3g

Seriously...? How many threads do we have to start about this? The iPad does NOT have a camera. Launch is TOMORROW. If there were a camera, we would know by now. Let it go.

Nothing to see here. Many of the best tech journalists in the country have now had more than a week with an iPad in their possession. If it had a camera, everyone would know.

Really?!? It's not there! There have been many reviews and no one has mentioned this revelation. I too wanted a camera but am ok with this first iteration. Just accept this is the first version and it'll continue to get better and better.

BREAKING NEWS: iPad includes suspiciously placed dust speck on surface.

Apple was unavailable for comment. Their silence almost a confirmation of the surprising facts which were uncovered by a crack team of Internet nerds with way too much time on their iPad-less hands.

Its dead center, exactly where these pictures show

The ipads given to the reviewers were specific models given directly from Apple.

Just saying there is a chance.

watch it again and tell me if its a piece of dust. Watch at exactly 49 seconds into the video

Looks like it could (COULD BE, but NOT dust) be a camera to me

Maybe I am crazy

watch it again and tell me if its a piece of dust.

The facts are these:

  1. Letterman borrowed a review unit
  2. Those who were provided review units are tech-savvy members of the press
  3. The same member of the press who are not stupid AND would jump at the chance to break the "surprise iPad camera" story.

It is a dust speck.

watch the video at exactly 49 second, that is not a dust speck.

there is CLEARLY something behind the black bezel dead, center.

It's the ambient light sensor. That would be my best guess. Dozens of iPads have been in the hands of the technical press for over a week. Someone would have spilled the beans by now - right?

Ok, so at least you see it, that is all i wanted to accomplish.

All i know is all videos on the ipad have been really crappy, web cam quality videos, and this is the first time in HD.

It is not a speck of dust that is for sure.

You're all wrong. It's a particle-beam weapon, to use against the next person who says, "but it doesn't have Flash."

Hey its cool if you all dont agree there MIGHT be something there. I guess I will get bragging rights if I am right. :D
