I just finished checking the machine, and there are no dead/stuck pixels on the LCD anywhere. What else do you guys think I should check for?

Plug in some headphones or speakers. Do you hear a buzz or hum when idle and/or a popping noise before and after any sound plays?

I'm interested to hear if the MBPs are still having this problem.

That problem seems to have been fixed in the latest software update...

and if all else fails use expose for cool effects and turn the light off to get the keyboard lights on

Well I've been using this 2.4 15in MBP since the second day after it was announced. I had actually purchased a 2.33 MBP a few days before and rushed for an exchange as soon as I heard about it. Congrats, I know how excited you are. Mine has been awesome so far.
As soon as I got home though, I downloaded MacInTouch's color profile and while I didn't have a problem with the default profile, the former seemed better and so Ive been using it since.
