Even if you use your Apple TV mostly for music (like me), having the 160GB HD is great for times when I want to take my entire collection over to a friends house for a party (automatic DJ!).

I would love a bigger HD to take my movie collection around, too.....ATV is so small that it is so simple to take it over and watch a movie at a friends house in HD.

40GB is moer than enough

For me, since I have iMac with 1TB firewire disk attached to it (beside another 1TB of NAS disk storage in the network), I only sycn movies that I watch to apple TV (40GB), I then erase them.

The only annoying part is that I am using QuickTime Pro to convert my movies from one format to a format that apple TV might understand. But I am doing this manually, I wish there is a way to do that via CLI so I can patch them.

any suggestions?
