I bought mine just before Christmas, am very happy with the purchase. If there is that big of an improvement in the next generation, then I will sell what I have and buy the newer one. Why wait, the current iMacs are great machines. It always comes down to "want" versus "need".

If things really came down to wants versus needs, then I would be the king of the universe and all will kneel before Zod! But that isn't reality. It is easy to say what you're saying and put your wants before your needs when you're living up in Canada and have a better social safety net, universal health care, your country is not suffering the worst economic conditions since The Great Depression and unemployment is not rampant, and as of the time I'm posting this the Canadian dollar finished slightly ahead of the US dollar today.

I think it would have benefited you to have read the prior posts in this thread before putting your opinion in. Sometimes, it helps to think before you say anything. Thanks for chiming in though. Wants over needs... lol.

I would suggest just buying it. I bought an iMac around this time three years ago, and happen to be typing this post on it right now. It doesn't feel old or slow at all. It is snappier than my sisters one year old MBP. So get it. Years from now it wont make a difference whether you have a 2010 or 2011 rev iMac. It really doesn't even make a difference now.
