I think Apple's marketing machine is one of the best in the industry. I think there is some opportunity for them to reinforce their vision for the future when it comes to the iPad lineup, though that would only be a roadmap for their competition to pursue. I think Apple's software architects and engineers for iPadOS are in good position in where they can take iPadOS. Usually it is the hardware that limits software and in the case of iPadOS, it appears on paper there is amble room to grow into in the iPadPro lineup. I think the frustration is not knowing and perceiving what looks to be obtainable, but has not materialized. I think the same chip moniker of the M-series in both MacBooks, Macs, and iPadPros has driven some vocal minority to dream of OS convergence and now shifting into "not Mac, but better" conversations. But not realizing the major differences in application frameworks, the operating system, the components beyond that of the CPU are all different. Instead, we get the lowest forms of conspiracy of people thinking Apple is intentionally holding back or snark because they know no different.
I can see where folks are fever'ish around greater file management functionality and cleaner UX around window/tile management. And I hope Apple is adjusting where needed. But it probably also requires deeper changes into all of the applications developed for iOS and iPadOS so that the higher level UX components can be utilized. It's not like Samsung's DEX isn't without grips, complaints, and issues. Even Google is holding off on releasing any real form of an Android desktop.
In the end, it is what it is. And most complaints are just trolls, bots, and sour pickles adding no real value back to the conversation.
