I got a silicone Apple case a nice blue one for my iPhone 7 Plus. 2 months later the edges are worn! Went to Apple store and they said it’s normal for it to wear and if they give me a new one it will wear again. I asked for a new one and they said will have to wait for 2 hours for someone to inspect it. Anyway I really hate Apple! They make good hardware though.
That’s too bad, Apple loves you....

You're being sarcastic, yeah?

It's for security because it's very easy for the site to have some javascript that sends them the contents of the form the second you type something in it (or in this case, your phone automatically fills the form for you). Imagine going to a random website that has a form with fields for first name, last name, email address, phone number, and all of your address all, and your browser "helps" by putting it all in there for the website to have even when you didn't want them to.

So, they've decided to make you have to click the box and choose to autofill the info instead, to let you verify that you do want to put your sensitive information in this form.

Also, as Hal~9000 said, Ad companies steal login credentials by injecting invisible login forms into pages and hoping your browser autofills them. Then, when the contents of the invisible form change, they send themselves the information. https://www.komando.com/happening-n...eb-browser-autofill-tools-can-steal-your-data

Looks like mods have combined two different "I hate Apple" threads. Tip for the kids out there: might want to use a thread title that has some meaning to the subject at hand, lest your "insight" get lost amongst the rest of the crowd.

As to original topic of no autofill option, WAG, using a custom keyboard on iPad? Might want to switch over to stock keyboard and see if that corrects things.

Actively trying to resolve the issue? Funny. When you continue to do the same thing over and over while expecting a different result is the very definition of insanity. Thank you.
You literally said that they want to have an engineer review the problem. How is that doing the same thing over and over? I had a problem with a black MacBook way back when and they had never seen the issue before. Wanted an engineer to review the problem. Sent me a brand new MacBook and kept the old one to study. Shame on Apple. Actively trying to fix a problem.

Hard to see how it would be a hardware problem. Sounds more like an iCloud issue to me as they sync and share via iCloud.

Good luck with your choice of future hardware platform.

So you figured out what Apple support couldn't figure out in person and by phone. If you don't work at the Apple Genius Bar your are in the wrong business.

I see the Apple defenders are out in full force, but instead of helping to fix the issue they choose to attack.

Meh I use 1Password so I don’t get auto fill to begin with and I also applaud Apple because it’s more secure for you to tap the text boxes. I do find it stupid that Apple didn’t know this though. As for hating Apple...let’s not make Mountains out of mole hills ay?
