I hate my canon kit lens

Hi guys. Just wanted to say that I tried the Sigma 17-70 today...for the whole day and I cant live with it. The focus is so loud when its hunting in lower light situations (and slow too) that it would drive me insane.

I think I will save up for the 17-40L. I have no other choices at the moment. Man thats going to hurt my wallet!

Have you had a look at Canon's 2.8/17-55 or Tokina's 2.8/16-50 lens?
