I so agree with the topic starter.
I loved the fact the screen was completely used for widgets and now suddenly in iOS11 they get rid of that on an iPad? Why go back in time. Also still that annoying major date argh e.g 'Tuesday 20th of June'

Related to this all those steps for Control Center e.g. switch between WIFI, Bluetooth devices is horrible.
I also hope that this is also changed when they actually launch iOS11. I get that they don't want show too much at once but then at least give people the option to decide what to show in the Control Center. Currently still some things are locked and you can't sort those mandatory CC things differently. Aside of that why not give us the option to access (3rd party) apps and URL schemes to certain app features. I now still need to keep Launcher widgets in place in the Notification Center. Also why not give users the option what kind of buttons they want to see e.g. turn on/off bluetooth, turn on off 3G without additional (3D Touch/long press). Also please give users the option to reduce the icon size. See also my post in this CC topic.

I dont understand the design choice of the new NC either. We dont need a lock screen when we are on the home screen, and like above posters said, we have to make extra swipes now just to see older notififations. Like I always said, if its not broken, dont fix it and IMO they broke it last year with iOS 10. iOS 9 notification was just perfect both in notification center and on lock screen. The blurred screen when you had notification was easier to read on the eyes on mornings or in late night and thats the goal for notifications : quick and easy to read and iOS 10 is the opposite of that.

Yeah, I don't get why they need to replicate the lock screen for the notification. I mean why? It can even create confusion as people think their phones are locked when it's not (leaving it unsecured).
So beta testers, voice out your opinion, please.

Yeah I also much preferred the iOS 9 design, much more suitable for a larger screen

Yes, notifications, lock screen controls (especially music controls) were beautiful in iOS 9. Someone went way off tangent during the iOS 10 development cycle it seems.

It makes me realize how long press will never replace force presses, that's for sure.
