I'm happy to report that our 2 GHz white Macbook has no major issues so far - just a small annoyance with the up arrow key. It needs to be pushed down with a little more force than all the other keys. Not stuck, just doesn't register under you press a little harder. Kind of annoying when you press it 8-10 times to scroll up a few lines, but only 2 of those presses registered. Debating whether to bring it in for such a minor issue...

I don't use the arrow keys to scroll on my MB, you can scroll with 2 finger scrolling on the trackpad, much more efficient if you ask me.

I agree the 2 finger scrolling is amazing, it works better than most mice with 360 degrees scrolling its superb....
It did take me a few days to get used to it though,

I went on mac-sucks.com. While most of their claims might have been true at some point in the past, things are different now. The modern Mac's now feature 2.0 duo core processors and run Windows XP. :)

Apple is still expensive, but you get what you pay for. ;)

Not on the new intel macs, this guy got lucky. Get what you pay for? Well that certainly is true, you pay for problems and you definately get them. If i wanted to pay 2000 for a set of problems, ill just pay my ex girlfriend.

It's actually not Apple that does something wrong. It's Yonah there's something wrong with in general. I am sure many other companies that use Yonah have these issues too.

No issues?! Take it back, A Mac's not a Mac unless it whines, or moos, or chirps, or clicks or makes any sort of barnyard animal noise.

In fact, send it over to me, I don't mind having to put up with an issue-free Mac just so long as I know a new Mac owner is getting a "proper" Mac owning experience.

I won't take it back, and I won't send it to you, but I can recomment you exchanging your iBook with a MacBook.

*Puts hands on hips* NEVER!!!!:D :D

My next Mac will be late 2007/early 2008. Until then I will be maxing out RAM and installing 10.5, iLife '07 and maybe '08 if it works. It's gonna be a fun ride to see what I can pick up in a year or two.

Ya sure you don't want to send it over here?

Yes!

And BTW netdog, we should start T.N.I.M.B.A! (The non-issue MacBook association). It's impossible to pronounce abbreviated.

Tnimba sounds like it's a town in the Northern Territory, or WA. Easily pronounceable for an Aussie - but then, you've got some Danish names that I can't get my head around so we can call it square.
