I dunno...maybe I never had iMovie? ...'Cause I have iMovieHD. Is that a new improved version of iMovie or is it only for HD?

Sorry about that. I knew you'd have to rebuild the Dock but I didn't think (and still don't think) you'd lose any apps out of it. You would have iMovie HD or iMovie in your Applications folder by default. You will not have both of them though.

Also, if you replaced the new PLIST with the older one you removed earlier you should have all your settings back to how they were beforehand. :)

Oh. Okay...cool.

Then I am all back to normal. Thanx guys!

--I just have to deal w/ the icon thing. Like I said...it does fuction when I drag a url (BTW...I cannot drag directly to the dock. It just snaps back. I MUST drop it onto the desktop first). Anyways...like I said, it works just fine as far as opening a browser to the correct pg., I just like how the spring icon looks better and I would like them to look the same. I suppose I'll "poof" the one spring I got, and replace it w/ a dog-ear for consistency.

The answer

Yep. It sure was slooks. ;)

Well, I finally found the pertainent pg. on Mac Help.

Ok...it only works w/ Safari & I.E. (NOT Firefox). Secondly, you were all telling me the right thing, but you were leaving out one detail which WAS spelled out in Mac Help...I think I mentioned that I'm not a real whiz w/ comps...well, I was highlighting the url (as I should have), but I was grabbing it in the middle of the address. You have to grab it by the little "@" symbol (or it's equivalent) to the right of the address. If you grab it there...it goes right into the dock--AND turns into the little screw button.

So...happy ending all around. I can make the little springs, my dock is back to normal--aaaaand, I even learned a good fix incase of probs w/ my dock in the future!

Brilliant. :)

I was seriously close to asking where you drag the URL from but when I tested it in Safari, it wouldn't let me drag unless I used the little icon as the handle so I kinda assumed you were doing that already. Sorry for all the heartache trying to fix a problem that wasn't even really there.

Well yeah...I know what you mean. It's like super easy to grab the address on Firefox--on the address itself, but it was taking me like 7 or 8 tries every time to grab it like that on Safari. :D

Just FYI...the help files must be REALLY old on this subject. It said it could only be done on I.E. in there. --Musta been written pre-Safari. ;)

Thanx again, you might notice me around...

...asking more dumb questions...hehe!
