So, 4 years ago that 1080p @ 60fps was right up there near the best. That gives us a rough prediction of a starting point for a new build that will be usable 4 years from now.

Therefore how does this sound for a start point ?

LGA case, Z mother board, LGA sockets, 17-9700 or 19-9900 CPU, 850WT PS, RTX-2080 GPU, 32 Gig RAM. a2

That's fairly close to what I am running right now. I'm running most of my games at 4K 60+ FPS on high or ultra settings. Some newer games dip into the 40 FPS range.

That PS is a bit overkill though unless you plan on doing SLI at some point.
