Yes I do believe two reports on this sites front page of different patents Apple has now got for under screen Touch ID, have been posted.

I’d like to think Apple will continue to offer their HD Retina LCD screens for a few years yet. If it keeps prices down I’m all for it.

I have t mobile jump on demand so I can upgrade whenever I want, the main reason I skipped out on the original iPhone X was cuz the down payment was going to be 339$. I heard this years 5.8 X will only be 899$ for the 64gb.

I love my 8+ but I want that OLED screen so badly and a smaller form factor. Should I upgrade ?

Yes upgrade. You want an OLED screen badly and the smaller model, buy the new 5.8” when it’s out, just don’t blame me if you don’t like it though.

The current plus and the current or next generation 5.8" X do not have the same screen real estate. If you like that the plus has more on the screen and allows for different layouts in some apps due to having larger screen real estate, than the 5." won't be for you. You can think of a 5.8" iPhone being the same as the 4.7" iPhone in terms of what you see, just scaled bigger a little bit.

The X+ or 6.4" from this year will be the direct comparison. That phone I believe will be the same size physically as the current plus.

I’m assuming you’re saying it’s ‘off-putting’ due to the PWM. That said, I don’t think Apple can have every hardware feature be appealing to every consumer. But by Apple incorporating OLED into the higher priced iPhones, it makes since they reserve this tech for those models, also because it does cost more.

YesX did to the pwm. Also, I understand they have lower brightness, which is less ideal for my outdoor use.

How do you expect useful advice if the product you intend to upgrade to doesn’t yet exist?
Buy what makes you happy, forget the opinion of others who don’t know you.
