Has anyone here heard about the light bulb conspiracy?
I'd be curious to see how you try to apply this to Apple, a company that makes the majority of its revenue from products that didn't exist four years ago (i.e. iOS devices)

The light bulb conspiracy is a theory that the leading manufacturers of incandescent light bulbs have conspired to keep the lifetime of their bulbs far below their real technological capabilities. This way, they ensure the continuous demand for more bulbs and hence, long-term profit for themselves.

Since we were talking Apple ripping people off. The suprise policy is not the only way they rip people off.
Way to change the subject away from you and all of the things you could have done better to prevent yourself from being in your current situation! Nicely done! :D

You seriously need to look yourself in the mirror. You are blaming others because you did zero research (not even a Google search about the MBA) before buying one. Now, you expect others to bend over for you.

Also, what are you using the MBA for? I'd bet you don't even need the new upgraded specs. Everyone and their mother wants the latest and greatest to surf the web and type emails...a laptop that's thee years old can do the same thing.

You mean rumors that have many times in the past turn out to be wrong.
Trying to discredit the same rumors that got you all upset about your purchase really doesn't help your case now, does it?

Are they credible? Then be upset about the uninformed major purchase that you just made.
Are they not credible? Then just be happy with your freaking Air!

Hate to bring this to light, since you may not be aware, but Apple is very well known for refreshing their devices on an annual basis.

Look at it this way: All the people here knew about it. You didn't. If the refresh is such a surprise why is it all over the internet? Why is it that almost everyone that owns MacBooks is aware of it - besides you?

Stop blaming everyone but yourself. At least acknowledge you bought blindly.

Come on man, you can´t be serious that believing rumors is doing research. That just ridiculous.

You can´t do research period.

Since we were talking Apple ripping people off. The suprise policy is not the only way they rip people off.

Apple's "surprise policy" is well respected in the industry. Ultimately, it is what all companies aim for. You don't want to let your rivals know what you're doing. The surprise policy only rips of people who don't do any research before buying. Judging from all these recent rumors, it shouldn't take much brain to realize that MBA update should happen relatively soon.

Furthermore, lightbulb conspiracy is present in all brands' products, not just Apple's.

Yes I bought it blindly, I admit it. THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN BUY APPLE PRODUCTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You guys have to admit that!

But trusting that Apple would have at least the decency to not release new models until after one year!

Light bulb conspiracy remember!

I think it should be criminal to release new products more than once a year. This is one of the reasons why this world is going to hell.

No, apparently you can't do research. Look around, how many others are crying like you are? How many others know there was a refresh coming this summer because Apple always - always - upgrades on a cycle.

You can't do research. Don't blame others for your short sightedness.

You can be informed about buying Apple products. For instance, if you were going to buy a Macbook Air, I would suggest waiting until they are updated with Sandy Bridge.

Since you already bought a Macbook Air, I would suggest returning it. Have you even called your reseller? Why are you here when you should be figuring out how to get your money back and wait?

I always see people crying about this exact same problem. You must be blind.

Just return the damn thing - if you can - instead of saying, 'should I ring - I presume their policy will be shorter.' Shut up. Ring. Return. Wait. Buy. Be happy.
If you can't, then: Shut up. Use your computer - the MBA is fantastic.
If you can't do that, then: Wait for new MBA. Sell. Buy new one. Post a thread with the title: 'Regretting buying the MBA.' (I hate those threads, how many times do you have to be told to sell it / return it). End of. Goodnight.

With the amount of research you did, it doesn't matter if Apple updated the Air every TWO years. You still wouldn't be aware of the obvious clues there are when an update is likely?!

Because Apple hasn´t released anything yet.

Then what are you whining? First you whine about MBAs being updated soon, which is based solely on rumors. Then you claim that rumors are meaningless, yet you continue to whine that Apple ripped you off.

Your posts make no sense, they only fight against each other.

This thread bores me. Nothing but complaints and unjustified disputes. It sounds more like someone just wants a way to add more posts to their total as opposed to actually talking about anything relevant.

Honestly, you made the mistake, why do we need to hear you whine about it?

Yes, but what does it have to do with this?
