I know. The 1TB I can live with, but more worries about not being able to upgrade the RAM. The 2020 iMacs are at least twice the price on the second hand market here. Debating with myself if I should bother with this iMac Pro or not😬
Mmm you can upgrade the ram but you need to unglue the screen.
It's not a very big deal if you have done it before... But if it's your first time, it's a bit scarry especially as it's an imac pro...

Never tried to unglue an iMac, not sure I would try that (with my patience😅). I’m still holding out, trying to convince myself not to buy it

I had the iMac Pro a few years ago; it was a sweet machine. Enjoy yours! If you got one from 2018 you probably want to get the dust out of the vents - mine were full when I upgraded to the M1 iMac in 2021.
Can you clean them without opening it?

I unglued few 21,5 and 27" imac. Never an iMac pro tho.

The unglue process is quite easy if you buy a kit of adhesives + the special plastic wheel. What is much more tricky is to dismount all parts inside the imac.
You need good torx screw drivers, patience, good pair of twizers, etc... and not being afraid.

I did an upgrade for an imac 2019 last week... and i forgot to plug back the fan... So first i tested the imac, and of course it booted.

So i glued back the screen, and then i booted it again and it became super slow (throttle at max) and kind of smelly...
I turned it off as i saw that mac fan control was at 0 RPM... and i had to reopen it and buy back a kit of adhesive...

Cheers
