Are we sure "Her" is in fact a "Her?"

My Second Thought: "Well, I guess just cause the good stuff's gone doesn't mean I can't take a look in the bargain bin"
Conclusion: Macrumors disappoints yet again

Mac Virginity - Not all I expected it to be

I ordered my first mac. Only to find it had 5-7 delay on shipping.

Yes, Apple Customer Support has been great...they have given me $165 off in addition to my student discount and student Nano rebate, a total of $444, and done what they could.

However, that's not the point. I'm not switching from a low-end cheap-ass PC company like Dell, I've had 3 laptops over the past 4 years all from IBM and Sony. They were all much more expensive than my new macbook, phenomonal machines, had 1st rate support (Although sony's repairs were very expensive), and were delivered to me THE DAY AFTER I ORDERED. The fact that Apple can't provide that level of service to me is a disappointment. The fact that they can't even provide overnight shipping, even at an increased rate is disappointing. And the fact that they can't just give me a voucher to pick up the computer in one of the apple stores near where I live (I live in New Jersey and work in Manhattan, which would give me four easy apple store choices, plus I believe 4 more if I was willing to drive an hour).

Unless the machine is an absolute dream, I find it doubtful that I will buy another mac or recommend it.

Atleast we know it's only going to get hotter between you two in the coming months/years...:)
