If a tablet appeals the Nexus 7 brand new is only $229.

I spent a bit more for the 32GB version and use it with great satisfaction.

i have another question for the future would you go with windows or android i would love the phone last a few years.

I haven't used Android...but I went with Windows as it had the particular features/apps I utilize most and they seem to be adding the most popular ones at a pretty good pace. Will be interesting to see what happens when WP 8.1 comes out.

The real push for me was the Lumia phones...I love to take photos and videos and the screen on the 1520 is incredible.

I use mapping software quite a bit as well and the availability of Waze is nice, Here Drive maps have worked flawlessly for me as well as great poi offering...and the integration of Office to do work is key.

If you want apps galore though, you can't beat iOS or Android....I just realized I never used 90% of the ones I downloaded.

the problem with apps is you want them sometimes and if they are not in the store you go nuts

Note 3 all the way. I have a Lumia 1520 for work and the thing is a beast, honestly its a bit too big, Nokia didn't do enough to trim the bezels down, and Windows Phone is still lacking on apps.

My wife has a Note 3, while its a beast too, it feels much better in the hand, more manageable. Furthermore, the s-pen is much more functional than I anticipated and of course it's running Android which has all the major apps/features you could want.

My 2 cents.

Note 3 other than the camera, which sucks in anything other than bright lighting conditions.

Really? I've found the key is to shoot in sports mode to eliminate blur. Otherwise, I will say it does apply way too much NR to higher ISO lower light images. However, for what they will likely ever be used for they are fine.

G Pro 2 is just awesome, but too big.

I think it's way better than the Note 3. Better design, knock knock, OIS, also 4K video recording, IPS display instead of AMOLED, microSD also, 3GB also, 4.4 out of the box, etc.

Design is subjective, knock on is a software tweak, Note 3 also has 4K, IPS vs AMOLED is subjective, both have MicroSD and 3GB ram. The Pro 2 literally only wins in OIS, but still loses since the Note 3 has a pen, making it a true phablet.

And design wise I think the One Max and Z Ultra are better.

Like I said before, it's all subjective.

The Note 3 is horrendous in anything other than bright, natural light. You're so right. The oil painting effect it does in low light is cringeworthy bad really.

i have an iPhone 5s as my phone, but i need a phablet because i need to read contracts on it or spreadsheets on the go the iPhone is to small and i think the iPad mini is to big so i need something in the middle which ones do u all recommend to buy?

Personally I'd go for a Nokia Lumia 1520 - given what has been leaked about Windows Phone 8.1 I'd go straight for that over getting an Android phone. I have a Lumia 1020 after having an iPhone 5S and to be honest I couldn't be happier - fast, reliable, stable, and compatible with OS X without having to deal with the abomination that is Samsung Kies or the HTC Sync Manager.

I've read that the camera is insane, actually approaching non-camera phone status. I'd definitely consider that one, but really need a stylus. It is kind of odd that MS is rejecting the stylus, but they used to have them in most of their smartphones once upon a time.

I wouldn't be surprised if in the future we see a stylus but I guess Nokia/Microsoft are focused on the volume selling phones rather than chasing down niche markets which might end up complicating their line up.

If u need the s pen feature then theres no other device to consider other than the note 3. the z ultra, 1520, one max are stylus capable but none have the Wacom.

my vote is for new nokias, 1320 is only 350$ unlocked! used them both, 1520 goes for 550$ and it is more like top model, pretends to be your only device, but i dont need 20mpix camera and fullhd resolution for 6" screen, because i cant see the difference between nexus7 2012 vs 2013, they are hd vs fullhd on even bigger screen size of 7" ...

lumia 1320 have the same ips 6" display as 1520 but 720p resolution, and ppi is something close to ipad air, so it is quite ok for me!

win8 phones have some troubles with 3rd party apps on market but situation is better and better everyday, the system itself is more stable than android, and imao win8 loooks and feels much better on 6" phones than android... for 5" and under android feels better for me, nexus5 is my choice #1 for this size with no options))

now using 1320 together with my old iphone 5 64gb but going to trade iphone away))) this way im waiting for apple phablet some day, they cant deny anymore that market is completely ready, as it was in situation with ipad mini 18monthes ago
