He was logged in as me (my fault for not enabling the Guest account) and ran the command to delete it with an open terminal I had open and already had run a sudo command, so it just let him do it.


He ran: sudo rm -rf App\ Store.app

I think he was just being a jerk.

Does your cuz often run commands on open terminals? Might need to put a leash on him.

If He's doing stupid stuff like that then i suggest you to password protect your account immediately and change your security restrictions.

1. Disable automatic login
2. Require an administrator password to access locked preferences.

with mackeeper you can delete pre installed apps. thats how i got rid of the chess app.
MacKeeper is useless. Like other app removal software, it doesn't do a thorough job of finding and removing files/folders related to deleted apps. For more information, read this and this. If you just want to delete the app, drag the .app file to the trash. No other software needed. If you want to completely remove all associated files/folders, no removal apps will do the job.

The most effective method for complete app removal is manual deletion:
 
Really? So you would rather spend 15-45 mins reinstalling an OS when it could possibly be solved in under 2 mins?
...
If someone had deleted pieces of the OS off my system, I think I would opt for re-installing it as you never know what else got deleted.
