Hi,
What does this mean?

Its tumble weed - Gosh, you’ve never seen this cliché?

Basically, I think it’s very unlikely that "nothing" will be "seen" at WWDC, but I guess that depends on what you class as worthy of seeing.

We know we are going to get a preview of Leopard, that’s something, right?

As for hardware, well none of us here know, but the power of probability suggests Mac Pros are coming because all those funky professionals need their power houses.

Welp, there's going to be the Mac Pro introduction, which I'm most excited about. And of course, 10.5 Leopard with Steve giving demonstrations.

And there's that one more thing... new iPod nanos!

I've just thought of a good quote for that actually (how sad is that? my own post! :( )

"Texas man's nasal hair goes overboard"

hAhahAHhahAhah I'll get my coat....

Nothing? Like Jobs will walk on stage and say "Hi, we really don't have any new products even though intel, our new chip maker, is pumping out CPU much faster the IBM/FreeScale. ALso with Microsoft releasing the Zune, we want the iPod line to age even more then it currently is doing , and Microsoft is comig out with its first new OS in 5+ year so we thought this WWDC would be the perfect time to not show a preview of Mac OS 10.5 so we could sit back and watch the market try to catch up with us "

They talked about it but no new real information about it

Time to talk about the OP on my 3rd post...

Apple have released or announced something at every WWDC. Something will definitely happen. There's too much news about flash memory stocks at apple and 80 gb ipod-sized hard disks. Also with Woodcrest, Apple can't just sit back and let their already out-of date "top of the line" G5s waste away...

WWDC = Worldwide Developers Conference. Note D for developers.

What is the developers conference for? Software and pro hardware. So the talk of a new iPod is, in my opinion, utter tosh.

Expect one of those music events in SF in September/October for new iPods, and the Core 2 Duo consumer Macs in Paris in September.

Why would Apple arrange a giant conference, where thousands of people each pay $1k+ for a ticket, where they instaed could have bought a loaded iMac Core Duo, and then go to WWDC to see Steve walk on stage, saying: "Uhh, yeah, we kinda, ya know, didn't prepare anything for you, so I guess, if you go home, and all be happy, we'll see you in Paris... errr... ":D

I perdict that the Mac Pro will be introduced at WWDC with availability to follow shortly afterwards.
I perdict that Leopard will be introduced and demonstrated with availability to follow early next year (at MWSF?).
I perdict that Steve will wear jeans and a turtle neck sweater and say "boom!" at least once.

Hopefully Leopard will have improved spelling facilities, so that words like "perdict" never darken our forum again.
